How do you think his career would have gone - and what would his reputation be? On his day he was a fast, spiteful guy with extremely heavy hands. But he obviously had a terrible chin. Was this accentuated at HW? If he'd stayed at the lower weight would he have fared better against smaller guys and arguably a more shallow talent pool, overall? I'm thinking from approx 1996 - 2004\5?
he would have achieved greater success in sports, destroying the smaller one in the media, but his limitations - a suspicious jaw, a suspicious fighting heart would finally speak loudly.
Given the state of cruiser at the time, he was probably better off at heavy. He held a strap at heavyweight, albeit briefly, so he can hardly bee seen as a failure at that weight.
He'd have had loads of success imo. Might have even been a unified titlist, but ultimately being a cruiser is always a step towards being a heavyweight and he'd still have got destroyed when he stepped up to the division so it wouldn't make much difference.
