Rather than face Cooper in 1991Holyfield meets Tony Tucker instead. The real deal struggled against Bert here , so could Tony do better ? Only a couple of years off taking Lewis the distance , can he make it a hard night for a smaller version of Holyfield ?
Yep , I definitely.don't see Tucker being dropped in this .His jab could cause EH problems I imagine ,and remember this holyfield wasn't at his Best. I see flashes of moorer here with Holy getting caught a lot more than he should and making it hard on himself .
This is one version of Holyfield that could've likely lost to a prime Tucker. In 91, I'd slightly favor this same Holyfield, but Tucker could've taken a decision win.
Certainty wasn't the greatest of performances by the real deal .In fact from Foreman through to Bowe he wasn't at his best IMO .So yes , a younger Tucker could have maybe pulled it off. It could resemble moorer v Holy 1 in some Way's .
But he was there to be hit , that's the point. He didn't look great v Foreman or Holmes either really if we're honest. Maybe Tuck would lose , but its not a easy fight for EH .
I can see Holyfield being one of the few to actually stop Tucker. My money would be on a clear points victory.
You must be joking.... Evander looked perfect against foreman and holmes and these 2 were all time greats with great experience despite their age.foreman was a serious rival and could ko anyone.evander looked great
Not sure he looked great against Holmes? Bad style clash .And no , if I'm been honest , Holy field shouldn't have had to go 24 rounds with old guys. He should have been taking em out !
I don't think many people could take out 42 y.o. George Foreman. He had concrete chin. Foreman didn't even blink when he was hit by Cooney, Alex Stewart, Tommy Morrison or even later (nearly 50) vs Savarese and Briggs
