Indeed he would, but I can't imagine Haye wanting to spend one of his last "4" fights beating up a prehistoric Holyfield. Sad it would be, but not on the level of Ali-Holmes imo, as there would be some fighting back from Evander.
Maybe if it was the IBO title, but Wlad has that. Could be worse I guess, at least it's not for the Interim WBF title.
I'm not sure whether Haye would fight him, I hope he would refuse. It depends whether he wants to step in the ring with his hero, yet risk doing serious damage.
I believe Haye would take the moral high ground and refuse, there would be nothing to gain and much to lose from such a horrible mismatch at this point in time. Maybe he'd think consider stepping in the ring with a hero of his, granting him one last shot at glory, but at the end of the day he couldn't even safely go to a UD as I believe the Warrior inside Evander means Haye couldn't avoid hurting him as he fearlessly charges forward.
The guy already won a HW title 5 times, just that two wins were not official and he should have won, the third fight with Ruiz, and the last fight with Valuev.
If he gets credit for the WBF he should also get credit for the IBO, IBC, WBI, ABO, CDF, ABC, and XYZ belts as well.. Hell he's already a 17 time Heavyweight champ!
i thought he was fighting because of all these money problems and fighting for a belt even if it is a minor weight division, will still give him quite a payday. That's the only reason I think he's fighting. He's a relatively smart fighter, but he always seems to slur whenever he talks.. I think he's took too many punches. :?
I'd rate a national title higher than some of these trinkets tey're handing out these days. I'd rather win the british title.
