If Holyfield had been born the same year as Foreman how would his career have played out?

Let`s say Holy was the same age as Foreman and decided on a career in boxing back then, how would history be different? I think it would have changed 70`s boxing at heavy drastically.

I wonder, in this timeline does Holyfield bulk up and weigh 205-218 at heavyweight. Because back then, even at 187-190 he'd be a heavyweight. I think he'd need to be about 205 or better to handle Foreman and Frazier and even Ali, although Ali lacked the punch of the other 2. I think that Norton, at a lean 215-218 would be too much when you combine his size advantage with his skill. I think Holyfield could handle the rest at 187-190. Now if Holyfield is 205, 208 or even 218, then things get interesting with Foreman and Frazier. Ali just had a bad style for him.

He’d do very well imo, he’d be giving up a huge size and strength advantage because he’s not gonna have the same type of ped’s anymore. I’d give him a good chance at beating everyone except Holmes and Foreman.

let’s say he did have the same ped’s and training routine he had in the 90s. He beats everyone except Holmes

Does he get the same HGH, PED’s and ability to use his head as a third fist? Is he backed by the powers that be like in the 90’s?

He’d probably beat everyone if that were the case, maybe even Holmes if he could force Larry into a brawl. If he couldn’t I see Holmes as a problem.

This is true. Who knows what kind of results he would Have had at packing on muscle. But suppose he did, it think he would have been a big player in the seventies

He'd have some epic fights with Ali and all the rest of them. The 70s was stacked man. Evander had characteristics of this throw back era yet he was born a few decades too late!

Don't forget, only one version of the heavyweight title back then. Holyfield has to face either Frazier or Foreman, and these fellas in the early 70 s weren't messing around.
He'd give Ali one of his toughest fights, maybe a win over him in a series.

Of course he would have changed history.
He wouldn't have been as successful at Hw though, but not cause he was facing better opposition, but due to the lack of steroids.

True, 90s Holy with PEDS beats anyone in the 70s, maybe except for Holmes

He`d beat Ali in the late 70`s and might have beat Holmes instead of Norton fighting Holme for the vacant WBC belt.

Not sure hed beat Holmes in 78, Mark.
He didn't dominate Larry when they actually met.
Imo he'd lose a tight decision.

Frazier is a bad stylistic match up for Holyfield. Frazier has a higher work rate than Holyfield, and Evanders willingness to trade with him will land him in trouble. Frazier UD 15.

Evander loses to Frazier ,Foreman ,Ali and Norton. A 200 pound Evander and Quarry would be a good fight, in the 70's Holyfield is just a contender ranked from 5th to 6th.
