Say the opponents were reversed with Bowe facing Lewis on Halloween in 1992 and Holyfield defending against Ruddock in November. Who wins in this round robin tournament scenario?

Holyfield decisions Ruddock, and Lewis knocks out Bowe. Although, with Lewis and Bowe, there's always a risk that Lennox gets caught with a ko punch,a la McCall.

Then obviously you will have the americans on here saying the final would be exactly the same.

Its not out of the question. Most ( including myself ) would have favored Holyfield to beat Ruddock, and while Lewis became a much better fighter than Riddick Bowe later, losing to Riddick would not have been out of the question in 1992.

I agree mate it certainly isn't out out of the question. I was just stating what the obvious reaction wil be.
While Riddick would be the favourite over Lewis in '92, i would still give Lewis the edge in beating him. Even though Lewis was still classed as green back then, he could still be defensively sound when he had a real threat infront of him as he proved against Ruddock. So i see a Lewis in that mood being capable of beating Bowe. Plus i think they're first fight in the olympics had more of an effect on Bowe than what some people think.
But obviously i wouldn't rule '92 Bowe out, because at the time he was ahead of Lewis in terms of development physically and in skill. I personally think Lewis just had his number though.
Has for Holyfield/Ruddock, well i see Holy being too busy and well rounded for Ruddock. Obviously Razor would have a chance of landing his 'smash', but i don't see him winning really.
Any of the four fighting each other at the time would of been mouth watering.
