This is getting interesting with Mayweather now in the mix dethroning RJJ, if Nard can pull off this small upset and beat the top 3 p4p Calzaghe does he move past Roy all time?

He's the greater fighter anyway, IMO. And I'm a hige Calzaghe fan, and want him to kick Hopkins' ass, but Joe hasn't done what B-Hop has done for the sport.

bhop held the title for 10 years, 20 defenses, has knocked out both Felix Trinidad and Oscar De La Hoya, shut out the man who beat Roy Jones twice in Tarver and just outboxed and figured out the puzzle to the great Winky Wright... and thats only in the past few years and yes the man is 43 years old.

Yes he is past Roy Jones Jr. and a win over Calzaghe will shoot him wayyyy farther.

Hopkins lost 2wice to Taylor, and ROY JONES BTW, and Clinton Mitchell,
THey both have the same amount of losses, well one of RJ's is a disqualification. BUt in any event same amount of losses. And RJ has accomplished more.

If he beats Joe he will. 3 division champion. 20 defenses of middleweight crown. Beat more quality fighters and has a longer reign at the top of the sport.

Clinton Mitchell was the first fight of his carrer, those losses mean very little. Henry Armstrong lost his first fight by KO if I am not mistakening and he is a top 3 ATG.

 yea, how can you even count Clinton Mitchell against Hopkins...

Hopkins has accomplished more. He would have handled Vinny Paz just as easy as Roy did...

Roy is an 8 time world champ - holding titles in 3 different weight classes - winning a Heavyweight Championship.

B-Hop has done alot - but he hasn't accomplished what Roy has.

For what Roy has accomplished in his career - there's no way I can place B in front of him - and I'm a big B-Hop Fan.

He would not. Roy Jones Jr won a heavyweight belt. Which surpasess anything that Hopkins ever did/could do including beating Joe.

He beat better fighters than Hopkins did and at a higher weight.

He beat Hopkins. Roy Jones is a much better fighter than Bernard Hopkins in terms of oppostition and how talented a fighter he was.

But it is all a mute point: Joe Calzaghe UD:D

He would have to fight Joe at 168 to do that. They are going to fight at LHW.
