Far from mute, Hopkins has a great chance in this fight. Joe makes mistakes and will get tagged, but anyways back to the point.

At middleweight who has the better resmue? Please that is easy the only great fighter he beat at that weight was Hopkins, and Hopkins made the fight pretty close, a good showing in a loss. Other than that he did nothing. Hopkins beat Johnson, Vanderpool, John David Jackson, Howard Eastman, Tito, DLH, and made 20 defenses big edge for Hops.

168 no brainer this is Roy, but if Nard beats Joe that will be as good as Roys biggest win here in James Toney. For the division though any greats Roy beat or very good fighters besides Toney? No, panzenia was a good fighter but limited. Vanderpool is a better win than Vinny.

175 No brainer again where Roy stayed most of his carrer. Has good wins over Hill, Woods, Griffin, and Tarver. McCallum was ancient by that time, but where are the "great wins" he didn't have them at 175.

Ruiz, I give Bernard as much credit for beating Tarver as Roy's win over him. Ruiz is 0-2 vs former middleweights :D

How many LHW could stepped up and beat Ruiz in his "prime"? Not a great deal.

How many MW could have stepped up (to there natural divison) and beat Tarver who was past it? Plenty.

I think that you might just be trying to wind me up though.

Yes he would he would be the GOAT if he beat Calzaghe at 43.

That is exactly why it is impossible.

Will Roy's performance against Tito effect anyones opinion?

i think an embarrasing loss to Roy i.e he gets KTFO, than the legacy of RJJ is shattered.....

Ruiz was not prime, but anyways Hopkins would have beaten Ruiz too if Nady was the Ref and didn't allow the bull****.

I would guess a handful of guys could have done both.

Michael Spinks, Bob Foster, Billy Conn, Gene Tunney, Ezzard Charles, Archie Moore, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, Dwight Muhammad Qwai, and Michael Moorer would have beaten that Ruiz Roy got in the ring with coming up from light heavyweight

Both are good but limited fighters, and Roy got KO'd by Tarver then lost the rubber match which does not look good. Even worse than the losses Hops has to Taylor.

I am not trying to wind you up just present facts and my opinion on those facts. :good

Hopkins has already moved past Roy.

He is one of the greatest boxers I have ever seen.

    Talent? Roy Jones hands down.

It takes more than talent to beat Hopkins. I think he has proved it.

Hopkins is the smartest fighter period. He has enough talent to overcome the onslaught of any current contender thats more talented than himself. And to think he does it at the age he does it at.

And you can have Joe Calzaghe's mug tattooed over your own face.

That is hardly a punishment though - Joe Calzaghe was the winner of the "2001 sexiest man in Wales" award.
