I actually think the type of fight this will be - slow paced and high thinking - suits both guys. Which is why I find it this match up so interesting. Will it be Hopkins' experience and superior IQ or Dawson's youth and speed that prevails? It may bell be boring, but I can't wait for it!

Great thing going for Dawson is that he can deliver sharp, creative combos at an amazing handspeed and set a hard pace that can make this into a kinda one man show with Hopkins never being able to slow the tempo. Great thing for Hopkins is that his will be by far the more telling blows, he can easily get inside and take everything Dawson has and that includes his will to fight hard. Actually, if Hopkins lands on Dawson those right hand sequences that Johnson landed on him end of the third first fight... Dawson will lose the fight right there, nobody will score a round easily for Dawson from that point on unless he knocks Nard down.

The Pavlik win might be memorable being that Hopkins was supposed to be done and Pavlik was underdefeated and expected to stop him, but Dawson is clearly a bigger and better fighter then Pavlik.

Probably around #5, after Tarver, Pascal, Tito and Pavlik.

Top 3 or 4. Definitely better than Pavlik, maybe better than Tarver.

Dawson needs this win a lot more than Hopkins does. A win for Hopkins is just another notch on an already amazing record. A loss for Dawson would really hurt his future.

i'd rate it very highly. dawson is a legitimate beast at light heavy, and only has one loss. he also has emmanuel steward training him. he is also, younger, faster, stronger, and bigger. if hopkins beats dawson, and does it impressively, it's his second best win. If dawson goes on to achieve his true potential, which most fighters that face hopkins don't, then it's hopkins best win.

At age 46, if BHop makes it an even fight, even losing it, it is already a great accomplishment.

A win would be career top 3 best.

I'd put it just behind Tito cause Dawson is a very talented LHW..most people forget that before the stoppage in his fight against Pascal, Dawson was whipping his ass in the 10th and 11th. But I don't see Hopkins winning TBH. Dawson would whip Pascal in a rematch, and I think Dawson is gonna be super motivated to reclaim that title from B-Hop.

    If he should do it:

    1. Trinidad
    2. Pascal
    3. Tarver
    4. Dawson
    5. Pavlik

    If he does it.

Which is unlikely in my opinion.

I believe Dawson has revamped his style and will be the first to TKO Hopkins.

Nothing will ever top his win over Tito given the circumstances unless if he beats a Klit.
