If Hopkins beats Kovalev I will rank him above Calzaghe in ATG status

Scully was Dawsons trainer what more do you expect . But if you look at that pic the ice pack is on Hopkins neck not his shoulder. The Ice Man is a good guy but do you expect him to admit his fighter FOULED!!!!!

Very true. Scully also said leading up to the Dawson-Ward fight that weight wasnt an issue and Chad was in the best shape ever.

I scored this recently. Second time watching the full fight.

I had it 115-113 Calzaghe. My wife threw away the paper I had the exact rounds scored on. I think I gave Hopkins the first 3.. Then Calzaghe won almost every round after that... I think I gave one to Hopkins late that was a hard one to score, and I gave a 10-10 round, that was close but could have gone to Calzaghe too.

So that 116-111 score was not too far fetched.. It would be hard for me to even see a draw, as I was maybe even slightly generous to Hopkins in my scoring. I don't know what Byrd was watching.

 

He already does rank above Calzaghe, by a long way. He is right up there with Pac and Floyd imo. And with his win could leave them behind.

 

It must hurt to constantly be wrong, because the other thread is all about SMW and this fight was at LHW. Go check it out for yourself and then you can come back and admit once again that you got it wrong. Go along, look now and then make a swift apologetic return. Good lad atsch

Regarding the topic at hand, I agree wholeheartedly. If Hopkins somehow beats Kovalev, it puts him above Calzaghe, although Zaggers will always have that great victory over him, whereby he went to his back garden and hilariously simulated a ***ual act, consequently pwning every American boxing fan in the Universe. :rofl

Whats the difference between Hops run at MW and Joe's run at SMW. Not much at all. Equal id say. Id give the edge to Hop if pushed.
What Nard went on to do afterward has already surpassed Calzaghe's career.

What was Hopkins three top MW wins in your opinion? Lets also not forget that he has three losses during that run, against arguably the best 2 fighters he faced.. Jones Jr, Taylor x2.

Calzaghe has no losses, and beat the best two fighters he faced. Eubank and Kessler.

Hoya, Trinidad, Johnson, Joppy. Allen was a solid fighter. Hop beat him 3 times.

Joe has Kessler and a wealth of nothing men. Like I said, they are pretty equal.

 

Roy did it better against Hopkins.
