I don't think I v-betted since I put a lump on Paulie to stop Khan. Never really bothered with it tbh kid.
That kinda sums your boxing knowledge up "kid" I'm at least 10 years older than you 'son', hows the teaching going?
I was refering to Vitali pal atsch Still I'm no Klitchsko fan either, Just no fan of double standards and Holmes and Hagler were actually the 2 fighters that 1st got me into boxing.
Well, Vitali got KO'd twice - while in his prime - so my point still stands. Holmes > either Klitschko
Listen, I'm a big Lewis fan but I still got huge respect for Vitali without going into either daft defeat. Larrys era was dog**** but he was still a top fighter imo.
I'm a big Hagler fan, I would instinctively go with him but thinking about it Hagler was short I'm not sure how he would have done at a higher weight. One things for sure, both fighters were great in adversity and they were both great at making adjustments during fights. If it was p4p I go with Hagler.
Im a big rugby league fan, and one of the most brutal *******s of all time was Barrie McDermott, a 5'11 18 stones thug. Fantastic analysis of the Hagler Calzaghe fight btw
Much as I'm a fan I'm doubtful he is, but even gaining an ABC title and defending it puts him in the top 1% of pro boxers - whether he actually comes to be seen as 'elite' only time (and naturally personal opinion) will tell...starting in 3 days time. If Kovalev can beat even a 49 yo BHops it certainly won't harm his reputation any - although I do agree with HB that in some respects Hopkins LHW resume is less impressive when scrutinised than his legendary status might suggest. At the end of the day Elite boxers can only be made by their competition and whilst BHops has rightly been given props for taking this fight it can easily be argued that Kovalev is the guy taking the bigger risk. If Kovalev's dream is to be considered amongst the memorable boxers of this generation, no-one can complain that he ain't trying.
Floyd Mayweather isn't fit to carry Bernard Hopkins jockstrap Your head must have been banged a few too many times. When you accuse someone of fouling tactics, no ped testing results published, & corrupt officiating, you are describing Floyd EXACTLY.When cortez retired Up stepped Kenny Bayless to be his protector.
You'd never get Calzaghe in the ring with Hagler :rofl:rofl Jeez he tried to ***** out of the Lacy fight claiming injury , but Enzo kicked hios cowardly ass & MADE him fight Hagler would destroy Calzaghe in 2
One of the most respected Team Elite posters - who happens to be a massive Hagler fan - picked Calzaghe over Hagler Cant argue with T.E. :good
Gotta disagree here. Hopkins is 49 years old fighting a big puncher in his prime. Hopkins, who didn't have to take this fight, is taking a way bigger risk here, IMO.. Maybe with this fight, yes. His past opposition? Not so much...
