If Hopkins beats Pascal, will you rank him higher than Roy and Floyd?

    Lets put it this way.

The first time Hopkins goes down in this fight on a fake foul and milks 5 minutes off the clock are you going to rank him ahead of this guy

He does have a point, but Hop is over 40 and an ATG. If he loses either you can say he is shot. If he wins he can keep fighting and keep making money. I think it makes sense to fight the guy 2 classes up and 20 years younger that is stylistically better for you then the other guy 2 classes up and 20 years younger.

And I think Pascal is a bigger draw in Canada then Dawson. Regardless of him maybe ducking Chad, no one should care. He is still fighting a bull in Pascal at 46!

before this turns into a Floyd thread I would like to say this... Most of the posters on here would probably change the channel on a Hopkins v Dawson. At least this fight is sure to be a crowd-pleaser (as long as Hop doesn't pull what he did last fight.)

You have just exposed yourself as irrational. A clear dislike for Hopkins's unsavoury tactics plus a completely irrelevant highlights video of Roy Jones. You are making comments on this thread based on your own irrational likes and dislikes, and that is not what the thread is for at all, it's for objective assessment of win value and overall career greatness. You can leave now, fanboy.

    I understand your perspective.
However, expect to see Pascal far less aggressive than usual when he faces Bernard!

I would also expect Hopkins to look much better than against Roy Jones. Roy wasn't opening up and their styles made for a horrible fight. Pascal, however, will open up and Hops will expose his flaws :bbb

:patsch I rooted for Hop against Taylor, against Tarver, against Calzaghe, against Pavlik and against Jones. Jones is one of my all-time favorite fighters but I wanted Hopkins to completely school him so he would retired. Instead Hopkins embarrassed boxing on the night with the **** he pulled against a shot fighter.

Hop wanted no part of Dawson. FACT.

As for win value, I dont think Pascal is all that good. He lost to Carl Froch and was probably on his way to getting knocked out by Dawson, who is as stupid as advertised by Floyd Mayweather sr when they split. And its not enough to put him ahead of Floyd and ROy who are 5 and 4 division champions who made their career off of beating fighters bigger then them, unlike Hopkins whos made his off of beating fighters smaller then him.

Now if Hopkins beat Dawson, Ward or hell even Bute, I'd consider it, but Pascal is trap by Hopkins im sure of it. He has clear technical flaws that Hop will exploit.

Hopkins has one of the best legacies of the last half century. He's already ahead of Jones and PBF.

Huge surprise, those who voted "No" are the biggest *****s on the site.

Floyd - Genaro Hernandez, Chavez, Famoso Hernandez, Vargas, Corrales, Manfredy, Castillo, Gatti, Hatton, Judah, De La Hoya, Mitchell, Baldomir, Marquez (lightweight), Mosley.

    5 division champ

Roy - Hopkins, Malinga, Toney, Pazienza(lightweight), McCallum, Griffin, Hill, Harding, Woods, Ruiz, Tarver.

    4 division champ

Hopkins - Mercado, Johnson, Echols, Trinidad(welterweight), De La Hoya(welterweight), Joppy, Wright(Junior middleweight), Eastman, Tarver, Pavlik, shot to pieces Roy Jones jr.

    2 division champ

Now looking at these resumes are you seriously saying Hopkins ranks higher then Roy and Floyd?

    Nah, Pascal can box...

He has true skills. Even Dawson said he was the most skilled opponent he's ever faced.

Not that Dawson has really fought anyone with skills except for maybe an old ass Tarver.

Yes. Pascal is prime, I think we can all agree with that. So, beating a prime LHW Ring champion at 46 years old is a huge accomplishment.

Floyd will be in prison at that age and Roy Jr. will probably have parkinson if he keeps on fighting.

    B-Hop above these two.

He has skills, but he makes mistakes and he gets tired. You cant make mistakes fighting a guy like Hopkins.

I'll be rooting for Pascal to retire Hopkins, but I guarantee Hopkins saw something in Pascal he can exploit.
