him on your p4p list of the last 120yrs? Would you be able to make an arguement that he has as good resume as Ray Robinson? I don't see why not, he pretty much fought every top fighter from the late 90's to now. Pavlik would just bump him up and put more icing on his cake. The list of names he would have would be an all star cast of names.

Head to Head matchups he ranks very high more than a lot of the greats from the past.

It's a reasonable argument that Hops is/was the best fighter of this era (90's-present), and beating the MW champ could only help his status IMO.

    Go Pavlik!!

Come on now, he's done a hell of a lot more than Mayweather has, and some of you guys rank him Floyd high. I'm sorry but a man who has over a decade Title defences and numerous amount hall famers on his resume, it would be hard to argue. Than on top of that, he's beating top guys in his 40's. In terms of longivity, he would definetly have to be considered the best.

I hope god sake you don't rank Calzaghe or Floyd over him. He would definetly deserves the nod over any fighter of the past 20 yrs.

Well... it really depends how he beats Pavlik and how Kelly comes back from the loss and what he does moving back at MW and SMW. Time is on his side, but so far his resume holds only one (2) legitimate win (from a HOF standpoint), the win(s) over Taylor, and Jermain's legitimacy, championship belts and P4P status came from the Hopkins 'wins' which were disputable just as the Winky draw and the Spinks SD. So it's a bit hard to measure the quality of the possible Hopkins win (especially compared to the Winky, Tito, Tarver, DLH victories).

But Kelly is the reigning MW champion of the world (unfortunately the fight is outside of the 160 limit) a legitimate P4P-er and a young and strong fighter, maybe the future of the US boxing scene. So a win over him at 43 would move Bernard a few places up on any ATG list. How many however depends on Pavlik and his future career... remember... his MW reign has just started...

It will move him up the ladder of greatness slightly, it will also move Calzaghe up the same ladder.

I guess it all depends on who you think really won. I thought Hopkins won. If calzaghe beat him legitimately, than I could see your point. Calzaghe would still have to get another great win to move up higher.(and I washed up Roy Jones don't count)
