If Hopkins fights Dawson after Pavlik, will B-Hop win by stoppage?

Simple question, yes or no. If Bernard Hopkins fights Chad Dawson, will it end in a KO/TKO win for B-Hop?

Nah, no chance. I think Hopkins would win on points, real close fight though. Nard doesn't go for KOs nowadays. He could outbox Dawson tho. Only way Dawson wins is workrate, like Calzaghe did.

No, he hasn't KO'd anyone in yrs he is about 5 or 6 yrs past it, hell don't be shocked if he gets KTFO against Pavlik.

I don't see it, Dawson is young and fast and Bhops is getting older and older everyday, seriously it time to hang em up before he gets ktfo.

I Think B-Hop Will Get The Decision...

Definitely possible. Hopkins has a slippy type of underestimated power it seems. Not much raw power at 175, but he hits with timing and precision, especially the overhand right against a southpaw.

    Hopkins would be Dawson's nightmare.

I just dont see how B-Hop can beat him. But definitely, B-Hop would frustrate him with his straight right and holding.

It would have to be a 1-punch KO then IMO, as Hopkins doesn't swarm people now and really go for the stoppage. He never went for a stoppage after he floored Tarver, he never went for a stoppage after he floored Calzaghe, he never got near a stoppage v Winky Wright (fighting 10lbs above what he had been fighting at), he hasn't stopped anyone with his overhand rights for 4 years now. I don't believe Hop would risk gassing by going for a stoppage and throwing enough punches, and I don't believe he could KO Dawson with 1 punch. I think Hopkins could win, I don't think he would but I think he could, but IMO a stoppage will not happen in that fight, either way.

To be honest, I cannot see Bhops beating Dawson except by stoppage, except if he got 2 KDs or more, which is unlikely. I also think there's a good chance Bhops would stop Dawson. 50/50 fight for me, this one, at this stage.

Hopkins just doesn't have it to go a full 12 rounds anymore especially against a guy like Dawson that will make him fight. He might score a flash KD because of that sneaky right hand but I just don't see him having the workrate to be able to trouble Dawson. Hopkins even against Calzaghe when he was dropped didn't so anything, he should have jumped on Calzaghe he's just too cautious now..

Hopkins put Dawson on his ass at some point but Chad wins this one 8 rounds to 4.

Chads handspeed, footspeed and activity would ensure victory.

No, Dawson would win via UD. Possibily wide UD.

I can easily see that happening. Hope this fight happens, but only if Hopkins doesn't look even more faded against Pavlik than he looked against Calzaghe.

The way Dawson looked the other night....don't see how Hopkins could possibly win at this point in his career against a kid that fast and that throws those kind'a combinations. Hopkins has a better chance against Pavlik stylistically than he does against Dawson. Hopkins has always had a problem against fast agile fighters....(Jones. Taylor and Calzaghe)
