If Hopkins was in the 80's he would have destroyed Hagler hearns and leonard

    Both Hearns and Leonard would be all wrong style wise for Hopkins and then theirs the speed angle. Hopkins likes to settle in against plodders like Tito and Pavlik who do the same thing over and over again and time them. He would probably have some success with fellow lunch pailer Hagler but I think Marv's smooth switch hitting would confuse the hell out of him.

    He's not as great as any of these guys historically, but I think he beats them all during his peak @ middleweight.

    I agree with your post, you also had touched up on his fight Calzaghe and from what remember you thought Hopkins won that fight and even broke down why Calzaghe wasn't as good as his fans make him out to be.

    I think he would beat Leonard.

    I think i would give the slightest edge to Hopkins against Hagler.

    I think he would have trouble against Hearns.
