Resume and how you performed against the opponents on your resume are the most important parts of P4P you daft ****. Otherwise rising prospects who haven't fought anybody yet would all be P4P kings. I would expect a Calzaghe fan to say something like that.

What about travelling to fight?.I think props should be given to guys who fight abroad like Winky and pacman and Calzaghe now if he manages to beat Hopkins.

Every time we've debated, I've schooled you. I think you should quit while you're behind, mate.

As for the Calzaghe further past his prime comment, why is it impossible? Because Hopkins is 43? Please. Calzaghe's isn't as good as he was several years ago when he reached his physical peak. In recent years Calzaghe has resorted to increasing his workrate and punching with less force. Hopkins has also changed his style, and is more efficient than Calzaghe.

If you had seen more than two Calzaghe fights, you would realise that he is suffering from the consequences of age, similar to how Hopkins is. The difference is, Hopkins has reinviented himself and fights using a more effective, efficient strategy.

I agree but then I think the P4P rankings are bull****. Make no bones about it, if Hopkins wins this fight then his achievement is increased due to the fact that he is 43. Hats off to the man if he does it. I hope that, instead of arguing, everyone will admit the man is something special.

    Come on JC!;)

China Hand Joe and Jack are tarding this thread up in a major way. Hopkins' resume is ****?

    :lol

Maybe if manfredo and sakio bika were on it, it would be top-calibre, then, right?

LOL Joe is right at his peak now. He has only been looking better facing better opposition. I think he's peaking late b/c he's only been testing his talent and skills within the last 3 yrs.

Bhop has been past his prime since Tito. But he's able to slow the aging process down by keeping clean and staying in shape. Hops Resume is good. Joe's resume is ****.

Hop doesn't have the best resume in the last 30 yrs....that's just ******ed, but Hop does have a better resume than Joe and it's light years ahead.

Joe better beat Hop! If he looses to this version of Hop his legacy is going to take a HUGE hit. He's getting by on how he preforms b/c his resume doesn't have the substance to justify an ATG status. He's a HOFmer for sure but all of his accolades are based on his amazing ability. We still don't know if he can beat the very best.....Kessler is not an ATG nor a Great fighter....yet! he's young himself.

They only thing you've ever done is displayed your ignorance. You're doing a great job of it again.

No one said it was impossible. However, anyone who has seen those two in their primes, and watched them now would agree with me.

No **** he's suffering from the consequences of age, he's 36 years old. Hopkins uses a more effective strategy? Did you even bother to watch the Taylor fights? Hopkins hasn't been at his best for about 10 years now. Many think that he was still at his best when he fought Tito, but he wasn't. He was still good, no doubt about that. However, he was more active and faster a couple of years earlier. So unless you're going to tell me Calzaghe reached his peak at 26, then you're wrong here.

Now why don't address my second point and explain to me how exactly Hopkins' resume is ****?

Hopkins wins this fight and he's P4P number 1 on my list. A win over Calzaghe in a fight where he's given little to no chance by a majority of people coupled with his current age...WOW, what a win it would be!

Hopkins achievements in his forties are impressive and add to his greatness. P4P though age means nothing, going by the dictionary definitions of greatness and P4P I am correct.
