Where will you rank him on the p4p list? And also how much do you think it will increase his legacy? A win over Pavlik would obviously be huge imo.

It would be a win over a 175lb Pavlik. The 160lb Pavlik is the one thats the P4P fighter. What would help his legacy is if Tarver beats Dawson actually

I'd rank him around #35 all-time P4P if he wins.

it would be a huge boost beating a top fighter like pavlik at his age. I just don't see it happenning. Pavlik has the jab, ring generaliship the right and most importantly great, great stamina. I honestly think Hopkins better hug or he could be seriously injured. Roach said he went to the wrong corner 4 times against Calzaghe and I think he is starting to slur more and more words. This is why i don't feel this fight improves Pavliks legacy.

So you don't think it does much for him? A guy nearly mid 40s beating the MW champ (a very big MW at that) at LHW? A young, hungry, heavy handed champ.

It would be one of the best wins of his career.

Don't worry about it b/c he's not going to win. Maybe ten or even seven or eight years ago he would have detroyed Pavlik but not now. I just can't see him pulling this out.

That was said by almost everyone, even his worse haters, before he fought Tarver. Only weeks after the fight a long LIST of excuses were released and more being added. Hopkins never gets enough credit for what he does, he will be appreciated in the long run.

Hopkins could very well end up at #1 based on the outcomes of De La Hoya/Pacquiao and Calzaghe/Jones.
