If Hrgovic doesn't knock out Adeleye then he should quit boxing...

I agree , I think it could be more competitive than some think. Of course Adeleye has to be able to hurt him to have a chance at victory . He's got a chance, maybe 1 out of 3.

I'm not necessarily sure he needs to hurt him, even.

If he can keep things tidy early rounds and stay in touching distance on the cards, then when Hrgovic gasses (which I don't imagine he's fixed) then he could take over through the second half of the fight...

It's a big "if", though - for all Hrgovic is comically overrated sometimes, he's still done far more to date than Adeleye.

I think Adeleye will have improved under Booth's tutelage. He was with Booth vs TKV but I don't think we got to see those improvements in that fight due to TKV's style or rather game plan and spoiling in that fight. Overconfidence on Hrgovic's part could be a factor too he said it will be a walk in the park

The question is has Hrgovic improved under Sanchez's tutelage? We didn't get a chance to see that in his last fight either due to the late notice and him obviously not being in the best shape for that fight

I don't rate Sanchez as a trainer but he said they work hard on conditioning in Big Bear and Hrgovic said it's the hardest training regime he's been on

In fact, Hrgovic seemed tired or jetlagged in this interview from yesterday but that was six days before the fight so still plenty of time to recover

He looks slimmer to me here but maybe I'm wrong about that

Well we need more than 20 guys fighting at heavyweight so I have to disagree.

As long as he's earning money, enjoying himself and not getting hurt he should keep at it. At worst he's a very high level gatekeeper.

Besides, there's nothing wrong with winning a decision.

Hrgovic is one dimensional and when his career is said and done it will be a familiar tale of what could have been.

Basically everyone whose fighting is clearly wasting their life because they aren't perfect.

I'm no fan but the idea that he should retire is ridiculous. He's big, he has a great chin, and when he's in shape, he's busy. He also had a bit of power in the straight right. Guys have ridden far less to alphabet titles.

Though sad to see an Olympic bronze medalist who was apparently capable of more fighting as an attrition puncher, it's an effective enough style to win some fights.

That notwithstanding, I repeat, I am no fan.

This guy has always been obsessively passive aggressive and dismissive of his own compatriot. Say what you may about Hrgovic but hes a top 10 HW with only 1 controversial defeat on the cusp of some very big fights. Saying he should retire is absurd.

It won't happen but with his chin he would be a good step up for Itauma.

A lot of people have been much to harsh and negative in their criticism of Hrgovic.

He's a solid top heavyweight contender who would have a good chance of beating anyone, bar Usyk.

He faded a bit due to inactivity a few years ago, but since being signed by Warren he's fought twice. He looked very good yesterday, persevering despite having a bad cut. His stamina was excellent, he threw a lot of punches for a heavyweight and he dominated the last two rounds.

I hope to see him back by December, if his cut heals. Activity is good for him.

I'm right to criticize Hrgovic, he had a full camp and we didn't see any progress, still the same predictable style, he didn't meet expectations and he has to retire...

    You're being ridiculous here.

He looked fine yesterday, I enjoyed the fight. He threw a lot of punches even in the last two rounds, he scored a knockdown, won virtually every round and persevered despite a terrible cut.

Be stronger and support your countryman.

I think hrgovic looks like a genuine legitimate top ten fighter atm. Would be interesting to see him rematch Dubois.
