Prime SRR over anyone at 147-154
94-98 RJJ over anyone at 168-175
Prime Holyfield over anyone at CW

Roy jones at 175? No ****ing way... Bob foster, spinks, michael moorer(yes michael moorer knocks him the **** out), and probably archie moore and sam langford fighting at 175 pounds would beat him

Spinks maybe, but moorer and foster dont have the style. Moore's defense is taylor made for roy, because his hands are crossed any time roy would be close enough to get hit with a surprise punch. Roy would hit him from the outside and move away, and would be safe up close because archie moores hands would be crossed and not be in a position to punch. Peck and score points from the outside and when he wants to rest he can feint and jump in up close where moore cant punch. He did the same with toney who tried to duck, roy just jumped in with a feint or a hook and leaned on his back when toney ducked, and toney couldnt come up from the crouch/ducking position with a counter because roy was leaning on his back.

Roy circled "the wrong way" vs southpaws so michael moorers right jab and hook would be pretty much neutralized. Only 1 punch left that he would have to look for.

Foster was a force to be reckoned with but too conventional and not awkward enough. Roy would see everything coming and would not be caught off guard. Roy had trouble with awkward guys who made him take the lead.
Wprst case scenario he could peck and run his way to a decision against all of them.

Spinks has the biggest chance because of his awkwardness and eddie futch as cornerman(futch trained montell griffin)

The problems is that here nobody is talking about "chance" they destroys jones for sure at175 he was not the man.forget the styles and all these nonsense he was too fragile against these guys that were naturally bigger and stronger than him, specially moorer, spinks and foster( i hope that don't reply with height and reach).
Jones had a crappy chin at 175 and all these guys could hit like hell and the ideat that they would fail every shot is just laughable.

Im talking about prime jones, not shot jones who couldnt take a punch because he came back to the ring too early from a concussion.

The idea that he goes to sleep from the first punch any of them land is just as laughable. Otherwise Lennox Lewis would have lost over a dozen fights to guys who should have theoretically put him to sleep.

John ruiz landed flush shots on jones early. Tarver landed alot of punches in the first fight. Griffin as well.
2004 jones isnt 98 Jones. Mac Kellerman was already saying on friday night fights that jones wasnt the same fighter anyomore 3 years before he lost to tarver. Clinton ****ing Woods would have never come close to busting up prime jones eye.

Lennox lewis had a much better chin than Jones. And nobody is talking about lewis here.funny that you mention antonio tarver because he raped jones. Jones never had a good chin prime, pre prime, past prime or mega prime. Simply when he was fighting at 160 and 168 he was hard to hit clean because his reflexes and it had nothing to do with his chin.
Little Jones gets destroyed by the top lhw guys

You are not providing any proof. Jones has taken shots without going to sleep before. If you really want i'll go dig up my posts where ive provided the fights and the timestamps where he gets hit.
Would a fragile fighter deliberately back himself into the corner and let opponents wail away at him several times in every fight for years?

Emanuel Steward himself said in 2005 that Jones "can never take a punch again because he has brain damage from coming back too soon after the tarver fight"
Dr. Margaret Goodman said in 2010 that Jones should not even be allowed to spar, much less fight.

How good was his chin in his prime? Who knows, but to suggest that he loses to someone because the other guy can punch is just as stupid as picking against Lewis in every fight where the opponent can hit at least as hard as McCall. Which is why i brought Lewis up.

Good picks all, but at Cruiser you have Marciano and Dempsey and possibly even Louis. I would not pick Holyfield over any of those with any confidence. Right now you have Usyk who might just have the stuff of greatness within him.

My pick at 160 would probably be Greb.

Even at 168 ..RJJ gets a tad to much credit imo .. Sure the eye test is off the charts but after beating Toney the resume could have been better for me before he moves up.. He passed on some better comp. to be tested
    SRR
    Duran
    Holy
    RJJ

If not for the McClellan tragedy that fight would have been tremendous.
Iceman Scully saw their amateur bout and said it was a great fight with Jones trying to fight off the ropes

Ya Roy was the Draw ..It was his way or the highway.. And he was also working off % of the gate and % percentage of PPV's .. The Nunn fight would have been the biggest payout for Roy at that time.. But he only offered Nunn $125,000 to fight him when Roy was paying others well over a million. Michael Nunn's prison interview, a good read here, enjoy
