    WTF?

I think that you are trying to make some drama out of nothing... really. I am a big Fedor fan, and a big Couture fan, and I am certainly not on any bandwagon.

Also the top stars are not even paid that much in comparison to other sprts, mma has to be the shitest sport for money on the planet.
I don't think you understand my point jsut becuase other organisations pay **** money as well, doesn't make the ufc great becuase they pay money that is not quite as ****.
The top fighter's are on contracts and are lucky if they get a percentage of ppv's etc, for instance franklins contract (major poster boy for the ufc) is 45,000 to fight and 45,000 to win thats 90 k if he wins and 45k if he loses, i conisder that to be **** money for one of the top fighter's in the ufc middlweight division.
In most other sports even the lowest players in the nba, nfl, epl etc **** loads more money than that.

A lot of the bigger (veteran) stars of the sport like Franklin had their contracts done, before the sport is as big as it is today. You have to remember that this sport is blowing up bigger by the month. Guys like Cro-Cop being brought in with new contracts are getting great money, and as I said before.... I don't feel sorry for ANY of them. Nobody is forcing them to do this for a living, and nobody is forcing them to sign the contracts. These guys are making killer money doing this, which they love, or they could go work regular jobs and make a fraction of it. Hell, even at only 45,000 base with a 45,000 extra for the win, if Franklin fights and WINS 3 times in a year, that is 270,000 that year... BEFORE COUNTING IN SPONSERS. Let's remember that these guys only have these sponsers because they are playing on UFC's big stage. So, you can justify the UFC considering what those sponsers are paying out when paying these fighters. After all, it is only fair that the UFC itself make the lion's share of all of the money... or else nobody would ever be paid, and these huge events would never be lifted off of the ground.

No, I save drama for the chicks. I kinda misread what you said, sorry. But either way, if Couture was searching for a payday he would've fought Fedor loooong time ago :good. I think Couture wants to fight Fedor after 9 months. The way he was talking in the interview led me to believe that to be true.
