    You guys are sort of missing one big point...

    Victor Ortiz has been in war after war after war with drama. Fans should appreciate that for Ortiz if they do for other fighters.

    -FOTY contender vs. Maidana, dramatic KD fest
    -FOTY contender vs. Berto, drama start to finish
    -Good fight vs. Mayweather, most dramatic ending to a fight in recent memory
    -Maybe not "FOTY contender," but a real good one vs. Josesito, dramatic ending
    -Good early beatdown fights vs. Vivian Harris and Luis Collazo
    -Boring fight with Nate Campbell and mildly intriguing match with Lamont Peterson, but drama in early KD's and the scoring for the Peterson fight

    He had an interesting and noteworthy career indeed. Action packed...

    Ortiz was good for boxing. He wasn't a boring fighter. Its a pity that he was sucker punched by Floyd and then very badly injured in the Lopez fight.
