Never met him personally, but I was close by him at the IBHOF. His demeanor is one that you would think doesn't like fighting.

I would love to hear his family side of the issues with Sandinistas.

    Russell Crow plays Rocky Marciano

I feel like they could make it inspirational enough without making Charles ultra antagonistic like they did Baer for some reason

Saad would be my first or second choice. His story is simply amazing. Delighted you mentioned him. Thanks

2 superb posters already mentioned them so kudos to them. But my top 2 choices would be Jack Johnson and Matthew Saad Muhammad.

They could, but we all know they wouldn't.

They would probably add some fictional angle with Joe Louis going out of his way to stop Walcott's career, and probably disgracefully turn him into the uncle Tom caricature, while Ezzard Charles is made somewhere between Money Mayweather and Baer from the Cinderella Man films.

They'd probably also have him forced to take a dive in both Marciano fights.

agree 100% with Johnson. Ive already got the perfect guy to play him. Unfortunately he murdered his wife and is doing time the rest of his days sowing mailbags, but michael jace (The Shield) is perfect for the part in looks and size/shape

good choice, too bad he’s out of the picture.

Marshala Ali is someone I’ve thought of.
Doesn’t have the build, but perhaps he could develop it for the role.

Title of the movie "Evander Holyfield: What a Warrior!" or "The Last Warrior"

There are no more the warriors than before in boxing.

Jace is 6' 2" so only an inch taller than Johnson.

His incarceration could be a problem though!
