This. Oscar doesn't seem to get that if he gets younger Floyd gets younger as well. In 2002 Oscar was fighting at 154 while Floyd was still at 135. In 2002 Floyd's hands were still in good condition and Oscar would always struggle with Floyd's defense.

DLH is basically saying that prime for prime he would have beaten Floyd.

Oscar easily handed Castillo in the rematch.
And funny how you say that at 34 Oscar was too old, but then use an even older Floyd to make your case. Floyd was 37 when he fought Maidana.

Oscar should be thankful Floyd was nice enough not to knock him out mercilessly.

Oscar and pbf haters are always stuck with what if scenarios when it comes to him it's wishful thinking and pathetic and desperate since he never took never to a L. They make up these fantasies and then they feel better about themselves it's like some sick support group for losers. Who can't come to grips with reality.

It must suck knowing the man oscar and pbf haters can't stand did it his way never was knocked down retired undefeated the best of the era and the richest boxer in history while people like me rub it in your ****ing faces. I know it keeps them up at night staying bitter and will haunt them to their graves and I love it every second of it! Hell if I was a pbf hater I'd be mad to :risas3::risas3::risas3:It sucks being a pbf hater. Pbf 50-0-0 and will forever own you haters and no ammount of hate what if scenarios or loser support groups will ever change it let that sink in.

I had Mayweather Oscar 9-3 to Floyd. Thought it was a fairly comprehensible victory. Oscar did some decent work jabbing him to the ropes in the early rounds but just wailed away with no accuracy when he got him there, was blew out by about round 7/8 and did little else after.

No point complaining about what he could have done if he was younger, fight didn't happen nor could happen then. Oscar got his big fights all through his career and generally blew them. He beat Tito but gave them every chance to rob him by not fighting for the last four rounds.

If DLH had thrown a couple more jabs in a couple rounds he would have won the decision. That's how close it was .

Don´t you think that's more tactical than physical? Throwing just a handful of more jabs?
And why did he stop jabbing? Was it because Floyd was countering him? Was it because he was unable to land it clean?

DLH sometimes got, I suppose you could say, lethargic in his fights. Or maybe the desire to just coast like he did the last three Trinidad rounds. It wasn't anything Floyd was doing IMO but Oscar forgot about the jab and was happy to just counter Floyd. I'm pretty sure the commentators made note of his lack of jabbing.

Yeah, Floyd who is known for being a master at adapting and taking away opponents strongest assets, did absolutely nothing to adjust.
Watching the fight right now and Floyd is countering him beautifully.

TBH, the DLH-Mayweather fight was the last PPV I bought of Floyd's until the McGregor fight. Was a dreadful, boring fight for the hype it produced. The 24/7 was way more entertaining.

Yes, but was it impossible for Oscar to adapt himself to Floyd's strategy? I'm not getting hyperbolic about it....the fight was close and the decision was there for Oscar to take and Floyd took it away from him. I stand by my prior post...i said he became lethargic in fights; maybe that was because he had no plan B? I don't know, only Oscar could tell us the answer.
