If I was Haye I'd push for 70% against Wlad.

    Haye doesn't deserve 50% let alone 70%.

Well obviously not "easily" since it didn't get made. Haye brings more ££ and is willing to fight in Germany so obviously if he and Booth don't believe negotiations are fair then they'll fight a chump like Harrison for the same money won't they?

I don't want to turn this into a Haye ducked Wlad to fight Harrison/Wlad ducked Haye to fight Chisora thread Ray, there's 100 others where we can do that ****.

This is purely about Haye justifying 50% since a lot of Klitschko fans still say Wlad should get more, even with Haye willing to fight in Germany!!!!

You say Harrison is not a draw correct? If so then why in the world Haye fought him? In that time before facing Harrison, Wlad called out Haye in which Haye was no where to be found in which he was like in hiding. But then all of a sudden Haye came out of hiding to fight Harrison? The same Harrison that Haye said Harrison didn't deserve a shot of facing him? lol.

And your evidence for this 400,000 figure is what? Because the daily mail article you linked to doesn't even mention Ruiz...:think

Well they can't watch on PPV, mute point.

Considering Haye - Ruiz sold out in the 2nd quickest time known for M.E.N second only to Hatton-Tszyu and Haye - Harrison was sold out with 5 weeks to go obviously the fans aren't concerned about the overpricing as you are.

If you don't think K2 would sell PPV if they could you're a fool. This is a business where severe injury is just around the corner add to this the fact it's also a short career the want to make as much as possible. They didn't insist on free to air TV for America did they?

I don't think non-British can understand the Harrison fight. The people who say he isn't a draw are right, and the next point would, in most cases rightly, be that if he isn't a draw why would Haye fight him?

Harrison is an interesting character and people wanted to see Haye knock him out. He's not a draw on his own though. Everyone wanted to see Haye destroy him bit that doesn't mean he's a draw.

Well obviously selling half of what Valuev did they weren't going to let it out were they? It's a pretty big slump but then it was hard for Haye to sell Ruiz, easy when it's a 7'2 Russian.

    Sigh :patsch

Again Harrison was a proven television draw - his two fighs on Sky Sports trebled the normal boxing viewing figures.

Harrison was a draw against Haye because it meant he was finally in a big fight. He wasn't the leading draw by any means but he was the perfect foil for Haye. Their past history, the all-british world title fight, the contrast in their careers all made for a much bigger event than Haye vs. Chagev or Haye vs. Povetkin. It is ****ing bogus to say that because Haye did 800,000 against Harrison he'll always do irrespective of his opponent. We already know that isn't the case.

The problem for Haye is that ppv demands marketable opponents. The Klitschkos have taken off the table the only two contenders that would have been marketable in Solis and Adamek. None of the eastern europeans will draw a damn against Haye.

Man, I've been lookin for you. You did a disapearing act that would rival Houdini.

I know you picked Dzinziruk to beat Martinez.

Because Haye could sell Harrison. Build it up, "Biggest British fight since Lewis-Bruno", "Best of enimies", all that, there was an angle Haye could exploit using Harrison, same with Valuev, "David and Goliath", "7'2 beast from the east". Why do you think the PPV's weren't as good for Ruiz? There was no angle, how the hell do you sell that fight? It's amazing the tickets sold out so quickly.

I think you forget Haye is also a promoter, Harrison is not.

Who's primarily responsible for selling a fight?

Well this is the thing. There's a chance that the 800,000 is inflated - the article that moron Hendo linked to in an attempt to prove the success of Haye-Ruiz actually lists Valeuv-Haye as only doing 400,000. So there is surely a good chance that Haye-Ruiz did a fairly poor number which would explain why Sky were able to force Haye into a fight with Harrison that he was clearly not interested in.
