Caneman already gave you a very valid answer on how PEDs work yet somehow they don't register to your brain. :-(

There's no question Pacquiao walked out on the first set of negotiations, to fight a nobody in Clottey too.

There is a huge difference between "giving blood" and having blood drawn for testing...I had to give blood for an Insurance exam less than a month ago...no big deal at all.

They would test both, hence no advantage gained, EVEN IF anyone bought into the "it weakens me" or "it compromises my health" logic that anyone who has ever had blood drawn for testing purposes knows is absolute bull****. Both guys would submit to the exact same testing at the exact same time, hence there is no advantage gained.

If i was Manny and had achieved all that he has, I would jump at the chance to take any test to shut Mayweather up and show that i did it all clean.

If you are clean, why would you even want to put up stumbling blocks up to a huge mega money fight by neogiating cut off dates in the first place?

I think too many people are letting their hatred of Mayweather cloud their judgement on this issue. Not saying Manny is on PED's but his actions/behaviour is definately suspicious to me.

He didn't agree to this when it was offered, he attempted to agree to it via the media, AFTER he beat Clottey and PBF beat the top WW in the division. When this happened PBF gained the leverage to say we will do it full random, and if you don't like it don't accept it, but he earned that right in the ring. Manny and team gambled and lost, simple as that.

There's many people that don't like giving blood. Remember this dude at school that was constantly mocked because he fainted during blood donations...

Your comments are fascinating. You tend to champion the "other guy" in discussions and bend over backwards trying to argue their point of view. Now we have a case where you are convinced that nobody can suffer ill effects (whether physical or mental) from having blood drawn, since you experience no such effects. Since I have no fear of flying, does it stand to reason that anyone that claims to experience panic attacks on airplanes is faking it?

Fair enough. Let's grant that Floyd has the leverage. Floyd was apparently previously willing to accept 14 days in order to make the fight. Why would he now say, "0 days or forget it." You are arguing that a guy that was so interested in making the fight that he'd give ground to 2 weeks, has now earned the leverage to pass on the fight over 7 days. Why on earth would Floyd decline this easy, windfall payday? It would seem he'd be thrilled to get this fight signed, rather than quibbling over minor issues.

Giving blood and having blood drawn for testing is vastly different, not even in the same ballpark in terms of amounts taken and the impact on the body.

The flying analogy isn't applicable because he isn't "phobic of needles", granted this was his first attempt to justify not accepting the testing, but after further review it's obvious he has no such mental condition so it's not quite the same. His final answer in terms of reasons given was "it weakens me", so not the same situation. He has no documented/diagnosed mental disorder such as a phobia that would prevent him from testing, and medically it's unreasonable to believe that he would be weakened from having blood drawn for testing.

In reference to the 14 days, that offer was presented he walked on it, at that point PBF made it clear that he wouldn't fight unless there was full unlimited testing, simple as that. He did his part in terms of compromise and Manny walked and tried to hurt PBF's livlihood leaving him without an opponent, unfortunately for Manny and his team SSM became available and PBF beat his ass. Floyd was embarassed about being left at the negotiating table with no opponent, he was pissed that his civil legitimate attempts to make the fight were ignored, he resented the negotiations being misrepresented in the media, and since has soured on dealing with Manny and his team in terms of compromise. I don't agree with his decision and I believe he should work to make the fight, but he has made one demand, I'm not sure why this is such a huge issue for Manny. It's drug testing...why not?
