He can make more now than before. The guy was 1 fight away from a historic victory on 11-5-21 now, on 11-7-21, he needs to retire? Even if he only clears 100k per fight here on out. With the money from he Canelo fight in the bank, he can do well financially.

Plant is a solid B fighter, I think he uses what he's got fairly well. Plant just can't set down on his punches and hurt some guys he's all about repetition and accumulation .

He just went 11 competitive rounds with the fighter many have as the top p4p fighter in the sport and suffered his first career loss. And your answer is retire lol.

wasn’t even a brutal ko. Guy’s stock went way up and he now has a chance win or lose to add another 5-10 million in paydays.

Wilder should retire if anyone. Two brutal beatings in a row at age 36. That’s who should retire

Well, he just lost to canelo. A top world boxer who will likely move to 175 shortly. Plant can still have success at 168. Not a canelo like payday or event, but still garner good fights. Andrade or Charlo should have to go through someone of his calibre before the possibility of a canelo fight.

Why? He just had a very high profile fight gave a decent account of himself and should try to take advantage of it for atleast 2 or 3 more fights then call it a day. He hasn't taken that much punishment in his career.

He showed some real skills in there and looked pretty good. It was a competitive fight which, if you listened to the commoners, was NEVER going to happen. The only time he was hurt was at the stoppage. Canelo won as expected, but Plants stock goes up in the loss and he can come back and improve.

Should the one thousand, one hundred and sixty odd active super middleweights ranked below Plant (of whom 99% would unquestionably be defeated h2h by him) also retire?

I honestly don't get the logic of statements like this. You fall short (by however much) when challenging the number one in a division, so - retire?

Sure he got a payday fighting Álvarez but - a) money can disappear fast, and it never hurts to have a bigger safety net and b) some fighters actually, you know...enjoy fighting?

Makes no sense unless you’re Plant’s wife or mother.

That is because you & I live a “Believable Life”
& Caleb Plant is living an “Unbelievable Life”

Nah, he should do whatever he wants to do.
If he wants to continue to live an “unbelievable” life let him.

    Do what you love ,
ta hell with what people think about it.

It's not 1920s. 5 mil is not a lot of money.

Yep, greats fans. Complain that top guys don't fight eachother. When they do, the loser should retire. Fools said the same thing when AJ lost to Usyk.
