At about the 7 minute mark, that's what Holmes says. Also said Marciano would beat Tyson and took a better punch than Tyson.

Holmes has been talking smack ever since he retired and probably before then, too. I have never heard him talk in a sensible, level-headed manner about boxing.

So are you saying that Holmes is wrong about Marciano "constantly beating Tyson to the punch"???

    Bull****.
Tyson was exactly the kind of fighter Holmes would have to fear. Very fast, with incredible movement and powerfull hooks coming from both sides.
Holmes was overall the greater HW, head to head I would always favor Tyson.

Judging by the way Tyson shut your lights completely off... yes Mike would have a chance there dip****. “Top Condition” won’t keep your brains from being scrambled by shots you don’t see coming.

Yeah, it wasn't that Tyson beat him, it was how he beat him. It's rare that someone gets completely knocked unconscious, even at the top level of boxing.

I rate Holmes higher than most. I think he could have beaten Mike. Chin jab and 0 chance to be intimidated. Holmes by decision.

Larry needs to let it go already. It wasn't Tyson's fault Larry was delusional enough to think he could come off a two year retirement with no tuneup and out of shape and beat the champ.

Foreman himself said he took his time in his comeback to avoid an embarrassing loss that most older fighters suffer because they rush back for a quick cash out. Foreman had over 20+ fights over a three year period before challenging the champ. If Foreman would've had Tyson as his comeback fight in 1987-1988 he also would've been badly stopped.

As for not having a chance.....lol.
    There I draw the line.
I'm at 60/40 on Holmes by decision. Tyson had a chance against anyone.

I didn't watch the video I'm at work. If he meant that at the time they met and he was more prepared then **** no. I was thinking prime vs prime. My bad.

Teddy Atlas talked about it on one of those ESPN shows where Holmes was the guest. Atlas said Holmes was always susceptible to right hands and that Tyson was a bad style match-up for him. Now I'd take an older Holmes over an older Tyson but if you want to drag any version of Holmes versus prime Tyson, Tyson beats him every time IMO.
