Larry "The Bitter Aloe" Holmes.

To be fair a prime Holmes would have been a lot tougher for Tyson than the version that Tyson had faced. But this is always going to be a hard fight for Larry.

 

Holmes has a lot of faith in LHW Marciano.

What other LHW ever would you have beating Tyson??

 

I always get the impression Larrys slightly intimidated when around Tyson. I seen a clip on youtube of Holmes interviewing Tyson and he comes across like a bum licker... Then when hes away from him he rubbishes Tyson and his achievements. I thought Larry would be a bit stronger than that !

 

Foreman gets badly stopped anyway in his comeback v Tyson. I don't believe that come backing slow George knocks out Tyson like 99% of fans. He takes bad beating, one that could bring a tear to your eye

 

Holmes is full of crap!

 

Prime for Prime Homes vs Tyson would play out like the Douglas fight.

Holmes was much better than Buster and a better chin. Now I know Tyson was poor that night... but that's how I see it. It would be a tough fight and Holmes may have to get of the canvas but he stops him late.

 

in shape is one thing and fighting another style another, but he was hit out of the blue. Why wouldn't Mike land that against a young Holmes. Snipes did.

 

I don’t know, Iron Mike was maybe the most intimidating man to ever step into a ring. Pre-jail for his sheer speed/power, post-jail for his lunacy.

 

Holmes' greatest asset wasn't his power, chin, jab, etc...it was he could fight.

Once he entered the pro ranks he showed he had it, while not being the brightest amateur before that.

You would hit him hard, deck him, and he would rise and comeback at you with revenge on his mind.

Assemble a concentrate of all the fighters who gave Tyson problems and you would come up with Larry.

Forget his silly Marciano comments though; prime Holmes does a Holyfield on Tyson.

 

Tyson could dish out an as$ whooping. Look at the Stewart and Ruddock fights. No way could Foreman have stood up to that in 1988.

Look at what Holmes did to Marvis Frazier, a guy similar in size to Tyson.

 

The only thing Marvis and Tyson had in common was size. There was maybe 3 levels in everything else difference.

 

I hear you but I don't see it. All I keep thinking about is the sweet dropkick off a car Holmes did to someone I'm to tired to remember who
