I didn't say Pac beat Cotto because of PED's. Don't put words in my mouth, especially not ones you plucked from Floyd's (idk wtf has been in that mouth of his!).
You discredit the victory. And I simply pointed out that it was the very victory that put Floyd on the backfoot. And you can assume that what's been in Floyd's mouth is attached to Ellerbe's nether regions.
I've always thought that Cotto was a tad overrated. He's a strong champion, but not some great fighter like many pump him up to be. But one thing I never really questioned was his chin. He took punch after punch after punch against Margarito and Pacquiao. Neither of these guys were hard punchers at WW. Pacquiao was in fact rather featherfist at the weight, but still. There's only so much you can take and Cotto took it all. The analogy was simple. Cotto's a strong WW champion. Crawford is a strong WW champion or he looks poised to become one. But Cotto's resume shits on Crawford's. Comparatively speaking Crawford's resume is trash. I wasn't even going to bring that up, but since Cotto's chin has been called into question we may as well open up this can.
I don't know if he's hating, but I think he is overrating 140 pound Cotto anyways. Cotto was a solid fighter, nothing more, nothing less. He was never this great fighting machine at any point in his entire career. Against Pacquiao he was as good as ever. He just couldn't handle Manny's firepower.
No beef with him and you don't need to start one with me. あなたは私 と絡み合っ ていないほう がいい I just think he hasn't fought anyone who has heartbeat. Even here in Japan, he is criticized of not fighting the real opponents. To each fan or not fan his own. You can like him all you want. I don't care.
Yes, that would be similar to what Pacquiao did. I was initially comparing it mentally to Armstrong beating Barney Ross but Pacquiao works too. They are all roughly the same size 5'5", 67". However, Pacquiao and Armstrong were punching machines who threw over a hundred punches a round. Inoue is a puncher who relies on his power shots. He'd have to change his style if he were to take his act twenty pounds north since I don't think his power would carry the same against the big boys. He'd either have to up his work rate or become more of mover. That's just my guess.
Wtf is that garbage ass attempt at typing in Japanese. You're not ****ing Japanese. Your grammar is completely off and no Japanese person would ever say what you just wrote.
Crawford is fighting Horn who should not be in the ring with a top 20 fighter.................don't know about Inoue, but Crawford/Horn is a fake fight, Uncle Bob fixed it for him.....................robbed Pac who beat the hell out of the kangaroo farmer........................a woman fighter would beat Horn!
I have said this a few years ago. When there was so much man love for Cotto in this forum. I questioned why Cotto get's so much love? But I always knew he has the most overrated boxers i have ever seen. This was years ago.
You know I think he might just be if people take his Martinez victory at face value. When I was checking the low end of the ATG list from the Classic section, I came to the conclusion that beating two HOFers and winning five title fights puts you right at the entrance to ATG status. Martinez is a shoe in for HOF. Mosley will probably get in too. And he's got twenty victories in title fights. I can see that putting him ahead of Jung Koo Chang. He's definitely overrated and lost all his big fights, except for the win over crippled Martinez. I'd say that he deserves to be in the HOF and probably falls a little short of ATG status. A very good not quite great fighter. He's in the same boat as Mosley.
