Terrible styles match up. I would say John by UD.
There is a chance Vasquez hurts him though and he is a great finisher. Juarez hurt John but couldnt follow up and thats the only reason i give vasquez a chance.

I think if John fights smart and keep Vazquez outside he would blister his ass via Johnny Gonzalez style, but what a different result most likely a clear UD for John. No, Im not saying Vazquez won't be competitive it's just the fact that John can box and is pretty quick on his feet and constantly throwing punches and Vazquez doesn't have a very good defense.

Liked what I saw from John in his last fight...
I'm more inclined to pick on the basis of what does Vasquez have left?
(Those fight's with Rafa were "best" killers)

I'd watch it, Just as long as R. Marquez ain't in Izzy's future anymore....
(Awesome fight's, But they are killing eachother)

a few years ago, i would have completely agreed with you, but i am afraid that vazquez really had the gas taken out of him in a permanent way in the trilogy with marquez. i admit, i might be writing him off too early. but i keep hearing all these scary rumors during the post-marquez layoff about vazquez experiencing numbness and weakness in his right side in the weeks after the fight, severe headaches during light workouts months after, even freddie roach protested the third fight on the basis of supposedly noticing vazquez slurring his speech and showing other neurological problems. but, freddie is a bit of an alarmist based on his own health issues. so, who knows? but, whether or not he's sustained permanent injuries, vazquez can't be far from the end...too many tough fights against hard men in which he held on and on while bloody, bruised and worn out. i mean, that is what a champion does, that is what this game is about. i just don't want to see a terrific fighter and real gladiator wind down his career the way erik morales did, that was painful and sad to watch.
