If it is a super close fight that Bute deserves to win, will the judges get it right?

Forget that the ref didn't start counting immediately. Count from the time Bute went down to when he got up. He got up before 10. People keep going on about this too much IMO

Also stop with the holier than thou bs. British refs stop the fights for their hometown fighters when a simple combo is landed ffs

To be fair I felt Froch was too hittable against Abraham. Froch is tough but will get sparked at some point I imagine, walks on to shots too much.

Against Bute, much quicker, sharper, more powerful, better timing, southpaw, I fear for Carl. I think he'll get caught with good clean shots throughout.

Not certain he'll get stopped, I think Bute will take a clear decision. But is it a possibility Froch gets stopped here? Big time IMO. One day ho's powers of recovery will fail him, happens to everyone.

Or maybe the crowd fooled you as well. Every miss was cheered :yep

  4. What's holier than thou about what I've said?

Froch would be stopped early too, look at Mitchell against Katsidis.... stopped immediately without chance to recover.

Bute clearly got some assistance from the referee throughout the round, and was clearly unable to continue when he got to his feet.

if this goes 12 Froch will get the decision regardless then all off to Canada for Bute to get a decision regardless, then a decider... money, money, money

that said, if Froch has his hands down and is easy to hit like he usually is there will be no need for judges.

If Bute wins this it will almost definitely be on decision I think, I think his (Froch) whiskers will always be to tough for someone to put him down (Bar Taylor). Im not completely confident Carl takes this, but I think if he uses his skills properly it is definitely winnable. Although like every Froch fight it never goes to plan.

I think if Froch gets stopped it'll be from a body shot.

He's got a good chin (not as good as it's hyped but very solid nonetheless) and Bute can definitely bang to the body.

Dirrell showed you can't get a decision over there!

  12. The Dirrell fight was close and difficult to score. Hardly a robbery.

Of course I want the Cobra to do it, but I fear Flea's analysis could be on the money.

On another point and not sure if it's valid as this is a home town fight, but wasn't it the British judge that gave Ward the bigger points spread in Atlantic city? I think if it's really close home town Froch gets the nod, but I feel on the whole Brit refs are pretty fair and accurate.

From what I hear you were seeing pink elephants during that fight anywayz Flea :yep I thought that Dirrells "running" looked much worse live than it did on tv because of the closer perspective thorugh the cameras. I maintain that it wasn't a robbery, just a close decision that went to the home fighter who was also the incumbent champion.
