As for Eubank Jr, GGG should have never fought Brook, that was just a terrible look.

Hearns excuses about ticket prices and commentators were comedy gold, why didn't they all just accept them.

GGG vs Jr could have tripled ticket prices and sold out, and McGuigan is a great pundit, one of the best in the game.

In the last year Golovkin also fought Jacobs and Canelo. Your point is moot.

And neither of them was for #allofthebelts why come?

Canelo was just a money fight, nothing more, nothing less. He hadn't even cleaned out 154 yet and had zero wins @160.

Jacobs was a good test and I thought he beat GGG

You can downplay it all you want but at the end of the day he holds the lineal title.

I agree but fighting Jacobs and Canelo makes it not a duck.

Golovkin went to UK to sign a contract to fight Eubank, but Eubank chickened out, so at the last minute Brooks saved the day, Golovkin could not get anyone else to fight him and Brooks wanted the fight, the money was good, the crowed was huge, after that he beat Jacobs, knocked him down, staggered him late in the fight with a jab, clearly won the fight. The along came El Pollo with Oscar's judges, referee, boxing commission and the criminal Bob Bennett..................Golovkin out boxed and beat the crap out of El Pollo..................but Oscar will cheat once again in the rematch...............

That's a fair argument. At this point it's clear that Golovkin wants the money fights. Saunders' belt makes it a money fight, because people will want to see GGG unify. That said, GGG has fought Jacobs, Canelo and Lemieux, which are all more dangerous fighters.

I tend to agree. Cotto is no walk over, but he's not, imho, as dangerous as Jacobs, Canelo, Saunders etc. It's basically a money fight. I don't begrudge GGG a money fight given his recent schedule and given the fact that it's probably the only chance he'll get to fight Cotto. And, you never know, it could be closer than we think. Cotto had a good fight against Canelo, he's got class.

I think: Cotto in December, Canelo in May, Derevyanchenko in Augustish and Saunders in December/January.

That's assuming the IBF will tolerate step aside being paid, and that everybody (Saunders and GGG included) win when they're supposed to win.

If that schedule goes down it will be a true boxing treat

 Saunders is just the next Quigg, McDonnell, Burnett, etc. The real ducks are the Jacobs rematch and the Charlo fight.

    Hindsight is wonderful.

Now we know Triple Quack sat on the bench cos he wasn't able to get a fight with a shot welter weight on his last legs who wouldn't even be good enough to beat Saddam Hussein.

Instead of fighting somebody decent from his own weight class he said - nah , ill wait. lol.. What a joke.

“A legend like Cotto is a shoo-in for the Hall of Fame. This is the type of fight that would motivate Gennady,” Loeffler told Sky Sports.

Yeah , no chit Tom. We are too well aware now than Gennady loves to pick on smaller guys from lower divisions. When he is presented with a stiff challenge in Sergiy D , he calls upon his lawyers/body guards to protect him. :risas3:
