Vitali wont be there to hit all night like Ruiz..... Vitali will pick his shots, his chin is much better than Ruiz's, and Haye will have trouble reaching vitali if he decides to use his lean back technique....

If Haye coulda closed the show earlier, id say he stands a chance, but I dont think he has the power to hurt vitali, and vitali definitley has the power to hurt haye

I haven't seen the fight yet, but I feel like you might not be giving credit where it's due. Haye just defended his Heavyweight title against a solid, rugged challenger and did it in exciting fashion. What more could you ask for? PAC KO 1?!?!?!

Boxing fans are so ****ing fickle.

Also, Boxed Ears makes a good point. Pongsaklek Wonjongkam.

Ruiz has lost against every non journeyman fighter he has fought in the past 5 years.....

Including what should have been a loss to a shot golota :yep:yep

To be fair I think it became pretty clear that Haye was carrying him from the 4th round onwards

Additionally, Aside from David Tua and Roy Jones Jr.

Besides who else has looked this good against John Ruiz?

and ruiz got his ass kicked every second of the fight, so your not giving haye credit because the ass beating was prolonged and not cut short?? weird. so i guess we can say the sam about vitali not being able to knockout a mediocre feather fisted HW whom everyone expected to get sparked out within three rounds. double standards are a ***** man

you DO know that out of the 1000 punches vitali threw in the kevin johnson fight only 20% of them landed right? not exactly statistics of a fighter that "picks" his shots. and dont give me the whole "KJ was in survival mode" BS. he was there to get hit, but since vitali wouldnt know what an uppercut or a hook is KJ made was able to make him miss like crazy.

I meant that he isnt going to come barreling towards haye like ruiz.... He will fight haye much more catiously, and give him alot less chances to land his counters

Since the Tua fight, no-one has been able to stop Ruiz. That's over 10 years unstopped; not many boxers (including the Klits) can claim that. Ruiz was able to go the distance with everyone he faced... Until now.
