Would you class it as a significant fight, a real threat to Pacquiao? Or has Pacquiao fought everyone of note and only Mayweather is left?

The only reason I ask this is that The Maywether/Ortiz match-up has been given a bit of stick, i'd say 60-40 disapprove of the fight, yet I think it's a natural fight, and a good one seeing as Mayweather has been out the ring for a long time.

I just believe If Pacquiao was fighting Ortiz next, there would be no problem amongst fight fans and I'm sure terms like "fight of the year" and such would be banded around.

Mayweather v Ortiz. Fantastic match up. Will be buying.

Ortiz Vs. Anyone considered elite @140/147lbs is a "Legit" fight...
    Including both Mayweather/Pacquiao.

I'm just really suprised that some fans and journalist can't get behind the fight though. A bit disrespectful to Ortiz in my opinion.

It would have the same reaction just with the fans roles reversed. The Pac fans would be saying it's a great fight and the PBF fans would be saying it was ****.

No chance, to like on of them doesn't mean you're not a fan of the other. There's just a stupidly narrow-minded view stemmed from the disappointment that Pac v Floyd isn't happening next from some people. They need to get over it and see that this is a legitimate title fight.

I was hoping Manny took that fight rather than wanting a third fight with Marquez...

i always wanted mayweather to fight berto, but when ortiz beat him he got the shot. i seen floyd at 2 fights, bradley vs alexander and berto vs ortiz. he picked the winner of berto vs ortiz fight so there you have it. i would have love to seen manny vs ortiz, a strong solid ww in his prime and young ! who would not want to see manny in with someone like that.unless they feel shity shame mosley and margo were the ones to beat.

mayweather bat up an old shane, atleast he is fighting one of them young lions and future of the sport in ww division. hell let the haters tell it he was going to fight his sparring parter. or lil hatton in england but not ortiz a young bull like him right ?

All of the people bashing the fight would love it. And majority of the people who like it now would still like it for Pac, finally someone coming off a big win instead of loss in the last two bouts and young...

i said...why the **** is he fighting shane mosley...shane is coming off a loss and a draw....he has nothing left....kinda the same way i feel about jmm right now and around the same time pac was fighting shane......my feelings on that had nothing to do with "ohhh pac should be fighting jmm instead of shane"....it was just like "why the **** is he even fighting shane"
