First off, I felt Badou Jack beat DeGale. Many rounds were close, the entire fight was very close. I think I had Jack up by one or two points going into the 12th, the unbias and objective Spanish network I was watching it on had it a draw going into the 12th round. With that said, when you consider how close the fight really was, if there was any corruption involved in favor of DeGale He would have gotten the nod. Its not like Whitaker-Chavez where the OBVIOUS loser gets saved with a draw, it was more Vargas-Salido imo. Just a close fight where the judges were swayed by the fighter with the flashy shoeshiners.
You've nailed this here. Like your Spanish language network I had it even going into the 12th with Jack then winning the final round 10-8 for a two point lead.
This is a fairly balanced opinion. James DeGale had more success boxing but definitely the harder shots came from Jack. And DeGale was the one feeling the punches more. I thought if he won the last round he would have won the fight but it was such a hard fight the risk of a KD and a KO for both guys was very high. I thought Jack looked 1 or 2 shots away from being ready to go in the 11th round. But wasn't surprised that it was him that got the KD in the last round.
No injustice done No one lost their titles Man it was a close fight The rounds that Jack won he won more dominantly
