If Itauma can't stop Whyte in the first round he's a hypejob and has no future

Whyte was never elite, has mediocre defense and is shot to pieces. If Itauma can't run through him in 1 or 2 rounds he's not a good prospect and is probably a KO waiting to happen

Suppose Moses takes the first 2 rounds to download a bit of intel, feel Whyte out and see what his got before going to work? It’s his first headline show and best opponent to date after all…

That seems a little unrealistic of an expectation to put on him.

Yeah Whyte is past his use by date but he’s still a experienced veteran.

Whyte will probably take a dive. Itauma is the next Dubois.

If Itauma stops Whyte at any point and makes it look easy he is meeting the expectations that people are heaping on him.

If instead struggles a bit with Whyte, then he is definitely being way overhyped, though that doesn't mean to say that he is no good, he just needs more seasoning and building up.

Also I see lots of people saying Whyte looks to be in career best shape. But how can they tell?

This, totally. Might decide to jab and grab as an exercise and put him out after six. That would be a bad plan, but it might be the plan. Writing him off because he takes 3 to bury Whyte is ridiculous.

Ituama justifies everything with a knockout, Whyte has a paper chin and Ituama should have no trouble obliterating him in the first round...

Agreeing with the posts in response. I think it's a bit unfair to say Itauma has no right to a feeling-out round with a highly experienced veteran.

I'm a bit shocked that DAZN (whom I normally like) is asking me to pay an extra $50 to watch this very much middling lineup of fights. WTF?!

Whyte isnt coming to lay down from what I’ve seen, I expect some big manning and attempts to just frustrate Itauma and not let him fight his fight. If he can’t do that he gets knocked out early no doubt as itauma will find the uppercut with his power left after some diversions

Although I'm predicting a KO by Itauma, I don't expect it to be quite as easy as has been said.

Whyte sounds confident, I imagine he will be as well-prepared as possible, and he's coming to win. This is his last chance to get back into contention and have some good paydays, so he'll be fully focused.

Whyte is the right opponent for Itauma at this time, I think he'll give him a few rounds and perhaps a few difficult moments.

If Itauma beats Whyte fairly then I think it would be an excellent win all round.

I suspect here that Whyte has a lot more to his tank still than it seems to the eye for some.

This is why boxing matchups so often suck. If he doesn't KO a veteran like Whyte in a round he's a hypejob? No wonder some fighters pad their record. It's what I'd be doing if people had crazy expectations like this. Judge him on his overall performance FFS. What if he wins on every card 120-108? Is he no good?
