I dont think that Willard was just an infighter, he was also a good long range fighter and employed verry simialar outside tactics to the Klitschkos.
Adamek is having a decent run, not great, but then he doesn't have great raw attributes. I really don't see it as inconcievable that Dempsey would do very well, given the complete lack of athletacism at the top level of boxing at the moment. Willard was durable, stopping him under any ruleset is decent enough. In fact that is pretty much the same way that Wlad and vitali stop people, by hitting them hundreds of times, only difference being is they take a whole lot longer to do it. No dissrespect to Wlad or Vitali i think they are very good fighters, but i think both of them have stylistic issues with Dempsey, less so wlad post manny's arrival, but then what dangerous explosive puncher has wlad faced in recent years.
Cows are massive, huge heads, five feet tall at the shoulder. i knocked one out with a jab once, so i speak from an enlightened stand point on the subject.
You may be right, but frankly I can't see it. Below is footage of Willard vs Moran. He seems to be content to trying to get on the inside and over powering Moran. He also looks rather deficient in the defensive area, as his guard is virtually non-existant. In addition, he appears to be painfully slow, though I imagine that the film has a lot to do with that. Look at Wlad's constant use of the jab and how he consistantly holds his hands higher than Willard. Also notice the footwork that Wlad applies and the impressive shape that he appears to be in.. I realize that I have only posted limited footage, and you can feel free to reference other fights from youtube or other sources, but it seems like Wlad is vastly more fluid on the outside than Willard. I agree that Dempsey's best chance would be against the earlier version of Wlad Pre-Manny. The new improved version wouldn't let Jack anywhere near him. My point about Dempsey Willard is that you can see that before Willard even has knees off the canvas Jack is throwing punches. That wouldn't happen under today's rules.................
Again, that's ridiculous. Willard didn't even hit as hard as Vitali let alone Wladimir. Both Klitschkos are faster, a lot faster & especially Wlad has much better footwork than Willard ever had. For all the slack that Vitali & Wlad get here at ESB for being stiff, robotic, gawky, etc. Willard was all those & rarely ever looked as fluid as Wladimir does regularly.
If that's true ( and it well may be ), then Willard must have been slower than a concrete truck driving through the mud. While neither of the Klits are particularly known for being very quick on their feet, I am fairly convinced that they were more mobile than Jess Willard was. I particularly feel this way about Wlad, as his footwork is literaly tripple what Willard displayed. No comparison there.
