Even you are capable of using boxrec if you want to further your boxing education and discover the world beyond a small number of PPV fighters.I suggest you do that. I'm not here to play teacher and this thread is to discuss Golovkin-Jacobs, not for you to display yet again your embarrassing Eubank jnr man crush. You would discover that, just to pick one at random, Curtis Stevens, has several handy wins including undefeated Patrick Texeira, a fight in which he was the underdog, undefeated top contender Tureano Johnson, former middleweight title. Challenger Elvin Ayala and European title challenger Piotr Wilczewski, who was undefeated and went on to go the distance with Degale and Abraham.

The sad thing is I actually quite like CEJ but your constant nuthugging is the kind of thing that makes people want to see him get sparked.

Exactly! G fans talk like the man is a god or something but when asked why he doesn't move up they start bringing up Hagler, the belts and so on. Personally I want to see his best and if his best is at a higher weight then he owes it to his fans to show them that. If other belt holders in the division don't want to fight him then there really is no excuse or reason to stay at 160.

If GGG comes in all reckless, I reckon that he'll be doing a pushup or three before this fight is through...

Didn't you say the same nonsense about Kovalev beating Ward in the same manner. Ward won't be the same after Kovalev! LOL Didn't happen the way you drew it up in your mind now did it?

IF Jacobs loses he won't be walking out of the ring all lumped up. He will lose on his feet with his corner stopping the fight, no prolongedd a$$ whoopin!

I am cool with that, my point is that fighters get hurt. It's goes with the territory and my main point is this, GGG ain't the only rib breaker in town.

You'd then have to go Jacobs-Canelo. I really can't see it happening to be honest. GGG is a smart fighter with no history of really being rocked and he's just generally better in most departments than Jacobs. Not to discredit Jacobs there, he's a good fighter and probably No2 in he division (aside from an on-point Saunders).

So long as if Jacobs does get blasted out, we can look back on threads like this and say "ah, so some DID give him a shot" etc

He should retire just because he lost one fight?

No, he should retire if he loses to Jacobs because it would mean he didn't train and was out partying with Chavez Jr. and Ricky Hatton and should just give up boxing.

Imagine going down your local and seeing the three amigos knocking back Jager Bombs whilst tearing it up to Born Slippy. What a night.

The point isn't that nick blackwell fought GGG. The point is when there is such a large gap in class the results can be disastrous for the inferior fighter.

Eubank didn't have any prior incidents of damaging any fighter like he did Nick Blackwell, yet it still occurred. The reason being is that Nick Blackwell, even though he never had any possibility of beating Eubank, stubbornly fought as if he could win.

The reason why GGG is yet to seriously damage anyone is because he hasn't needed to increase his ability during fights. Like I said he's been fighting at around 30% of his ability. If jacob thinks he can match that then GGG would have no choice but to increase the heat. It's exactly what happened with Brook. The first few rounds he let brook make a show, then brook started believing he could in fact better GGG, and then from thereon in, GGG went mad and began serving some serious punishment on brook.

Jacobs just needs to know his place, no one expects him to win, I'm sure deep down he knows he's there simply to act as a body help make GGG sparkle to increase his rep amongst the Americans.

Losing an eye or half of your skull is not worth one fight just so you can appease those like yourself who hold on to some futile hope that he can beat GGG.

Yeah, GGG is a smart fighter ( That's why he didn't go no where near Ward) Lol, had to put that in there cause it was just too easy. However on the real, other than the fact that he is a harder puncher than Jacobs, I don't see a big gap in talent. What I see is GGG's resolve to move forward. He is relentless in his approach and that is the key to his success and his power dictates that his opponents back up. I will admit, GGG is a hard nut to crack in the MW division, he has the power, skill, chin, and resolve. He utilizes all four and especially his resolve. It's a tall order for Jacobs considering his suspect chin, but if he can crack that resolve and back GGG up as much as possible and turn him when he comes forward then he has a real good shot at winning this fight. He needs to have the resolve and tenacity of an Andre Ward.

What I am reading is you trying to convince me and anybody else that GGG is some indestructible power house that has no equal. I don't know about everybody else but I totally disagree. He eat groceries and his sh#t stank just like the next man. He is very capable of being beaten and if Jacobs fights the right fight then he can beat him. All that yak about Jacobs needing to know his place is straight up BS. You could've saved that for somebody else or you can fold it up and stick it in deepest part of your ass. GGG wasn't holding back on Brook, he was trying to knock Brook out from round one but Brook had other ideas. Big ups to Brook, he put the key in the lock but he was just too small to open the door. Maybe Jacobs will open that door for him.

If Jacobs has any hope in hell, GGG and his team won't take the fight.
