You're not reading the thread title.

Both guys were MIDDLEWEIGHTS 36 hours before the fight WHEN THE WEIGH IN WAS CONDUCTED. Both guys were Light heavyweights AT LEAST during the fight.

    Period.

If Jacobs SHOULD fight Usyk (who fights at 210 lbs. or more) because he's over the weight, then it leads to pure simple logic that Golovkin SHOULD fight Ward (who fights at 185 or more) because on the night of the fight if Jacobs is a Cruiserweight, then Golovkin is a LHWT (at least!) What am I missing here?

Usyk doesn't come in as heavy as that he weighed 207 and 208 for his last two fights.

Using that "logic" Usyk gets in the ring over 200lbs so he should fight Joshua next

GGG was a cruiserweight too, but it wasn't the weight that Jacobs cheated with, it was the extra recovery time.

GGG needs time to recover because he's an old boy, Jacobs isn't young either so not having to do the 2nd weigh in was a big advantage. In the ring they would have both been 175-180lbs, crying over a couple of lbs here and there is pathetic.

TeamGGG want the rematch to be @ 168 so obviously they don't think the size was a factor. After Canelo, GGG will move up, he can't make the weight healthy any more and this is a money fight.

But who would I go for between Ward v Eubank? They're both really easy to dislike...:)
