You're pretty much spot on there though I disagree with the retirement talks when it comes to Taylor. I think when he mentioned it he never said that it's in plan soon, he just said that if he can't win his next fight or more fights ahead then retirement is the best option, something most fighters say coming off a loss or two. Lacy though has been mentioning retirement and I think he's dead serious about it, he knows he's not the same anymore after Calzaghe and knows he might not go far, his recent tantrum about not getting enough money for the Taylor fight puts the stamp on it, he wants to make some money and take off as soon as possible.

Still I think he MIGHT have a chance, it's not a big one but he definitely has a shot. We know he can go the full 12 even after taking some serious punches, can Taylor keep up the big punches?, especially at this new weight. I'm expecting Taylor to box in this one, if the KO comes then it comes if not then a decision. Anything is possible here and I won't be surprised if Lacy did score a victory.

I might've miscontrsued Taylor's comments. After the Pavlik fight he said something like, "Go back home and go fishing for a long ass time." That could mean a myriad of things..although I think it was more of an indictment on retirement than anything.

Lacy has a chance especially if Taylor comes out lethargic and unsteady at the new weight. If Taylor is focused I think it's his fight to lose.

I said it before and I will say it again.

Lacy's power is no longer there!
He could not knock out Peter Manfredo, whom we saw totally wrecked by the less than polished Sakio Bika.

Lacy does not posses good boxing fundamentals, even pre-Cal this was evident. I don't know how anyone can predict Lacy to beat such a talented and technically competent fighter.

Taylor tends to gas occasionally but it won't matter since Lazy gasses out even faster, is less mobile, and has atrocious defense.

    Taylor TKO 5th or earlier.

Don't worry about Taylor being focused, according to a recent interview they did sound pretty confident and physically ready 100%. I know most interviews give that impression but this one wasn't like any other, they did sound serious and went deep into it as well discussing the training they went through and so on. If there is anyone to worry for about being focused then it's Lacy.

I know all negative signs point at Lacy, maybe as a fan of his I'd rather lie to myself and give him a chance than totally count him out. Obviously I'm not able to fool others with me.

As someone who lies to himself to give Tito Trinidad a chance in fights I know he'd lose at this point in his career, I sympathize.

I completely agree with everything, except for the prediction. It could happen if JT is aggressive as hell but you don't know if he will come out that way given his friendship with Lacy and the fact that he's coming off of 2 straight losses. Plus, if he gets careless, he could get caught from Lacy as Lacy will be most dangerous in the first couple of rounds where his hand speed will at its fastest and his movement will be most crisp.

When he'll feel that he's able to knock Lacy out, he'll swich to outbox mode not to hurt his longtime buddy...

Lacy has proven he can tough it out, even when getting battered, but i think Taylor will be looking for a KO and just might get one.

Saying that, he couldnt KO Ouma and he was 154lber who is hardly difficult to hit...
