Like, really truly shocked? Is it really so far out of the realm of possibilities that JMM could get the win, when the first two fights were extremely close? I just see too many people writing JMM off in this one. I think he has as good a shot as ever especially if he can stay on his feet. The KD's have killed him in both fights. But, maybe with him gaining some size he doesn't get put down with one shot punches like he did in the past.
Nope, I fully expect JMM to win, I was 60/40 Pac, but after rewatching hbo's replay of fight one and two, I think jmm stays on his feet to win a clear decision, just put a hundred on this fight yesterday... Styles make fights and Juan is not shot nor do I think his fight with Floyd was relevant, again that's because styles make fights and Floyd makes 99% of his opponents look the exact same way he made jmm look, slow and average.... The boxing gods have a way of bringing a fighter back to reality, if Pac wins he gets full credit from me, jmm is more than ready for this fight, well both men are, its not gonna be the blowout most think it will be...
shock. i would put the result of the fight on jmm's ability to take pac's punches this time. last time around he was able to get up. now that chin is going to get tested like real hard. jmm and nacho, will soon find out, pac doesnt load his punches that much anymore. they wont know which ones to evade, which ones to roll with and counter.
An upset, but Pacquiao has to decline at some point. Marquez is aging and losing some sharpness but so is Pac, and JMM did always have his #.
I would be extremely surprised but not shocked. After seeing the Clay/Liston, Ali/Foreman, Tyson /Douglas fights, nothing shocks me anymore.
