They may look like it, but I think that's a common misconception. Watch his fight with Bryon Mitchell and many others. You can't KO opponents with slaps, especially not one punch KD's.

Not as fast as he used to be obviously, but his in and out footspeed in his prime is one of his better qualities. The quickness of his feet when switching from forward to backward, and side to side. Also, direct me to where I said he had the fastest foot and handspeed of all time.

    Perhaps.

  2. THE NUMBERS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES:deal Cali is 44-0 and beat the best of the best, hasn't lost a match since 1990 ALMOST 20 YEARS:good So i guess his "slaps" are working
Toney lost to Griffin twice, Drake thazidi, Roy Jones, and Dave Tiberi whipped his ass only to be robbed:-( :-( Calzaghe has obviously had the better career....
When he whips that old ******* Hopkins and retires with that big fat 0 on his record that will be the icing on the cake!!

Good fantasy matchup, I say 60-40 Toney. People forget (or are too young to remember) what a specimen Toney WAS. I think it's a tough matchup for Lights Out but he proved himself against stiffer competition than Calzaghe has to date.

Watch him against Kessler again where he is slipping his jab and moving his entire upper body under Kessler's right hands.

Calzaghe has great hand speed, great footspeed, great feints, and great defense. He can be hit, but when you fight so aggressively, you will get tagged more than if you fight in an ultra-defensive manner.

Guys! ...come on. OF COURSE TONEY WINS...if you pick Calzaghe, you're nothing but a ****ing euro fanboy..it's only inevitable that toney wins..he's a bigger name and because he's born in the USA. Joe is not

Presenting these questions regarding each fighter against the other's competition gets you no where when analyzing this fantasy matchup.

obviously i don't think either sides of the story hold much water as it means **** all because both fighters get up for the bigger fights.

I dont know if he could take Jones left hooks..that is a horrible matchup styilistically for Joe.. but Joe not being able to finish those fighters off doesn't mean he'd lose to toney, obviously.

I dont think he could stop any of them and you have to remember his hand situation now. ...when he was younger, he was regarded as a hard puncher.

and i don't see why toney wouldn't lose rounds to Kessler. toney is a stationary counterpuncher that is at his best when you come at him

    :yep

Kessler presents some stylistic difficulties for Toney. I'm not saying he would win though.

nunn was top ranked when toney beat him
prince charles william was a light heavy who killed himself to make 168 for a last payday
why is iran barkley on your list ?
do you not like barkley or something

if you were barkley`s promoter you stand a good chance of being arrested for aiding and abetting in a manslaughter .
