Toney is a tough match up but Joe takes the decision.

  2. I agree Toney got an ass whuppin from ordinary Dave Tiberi but was given a gift, decision:-( that was pitiful! and struggled hard in a draw with a near 40 yr old Mike Mccallum, got his ass kicked by Roy Jones, and lost to some dude named Drake Thadizi, and lost twice to a 5'7 midget Montell Griffin:deal
Joe Calzaghe steps up to the plate and beats the best of the best unlike Toney who lost and got his ass handed to him by guy's that would have been JC'S SPARRING PARTNERS..

Toney would beat him EASILY. Only a EURO Fan boy would pick Calzaghe to beat Toney in his Prime.

    It's about styles though.

A lot of ya'll don't look at styles.

The name of the game is MONEY, but it's all about styles.

That'd be a really tough fight. I think Calz might eek out a majority decision based on activity. Toney would be the toughest opponent Calz as ever had though.

  7. Bika is a waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy better fighter than Dave Tiberi and Drake Thadizi both who whipped phoney Toney:lol:

Almost all those picking Calzaghe went for a UD on the poll, nearly half of those picking Toney, like him by KO.

Now I'm not going to claim picking Toney over the iron chinned warrior Calzaghe is illogical and is a pick that can only be based on hatred or American and these people should have their opinion disregarded.

    But those ratios are interesting.

Calzaghe beats McCallum, Johnson, Barkley, Littles, and Williams. The closest fight being McCallum.

Toney beats Lacy, Kessler, and Reid. But Toney-Kessler would be much closer than McCallum-Calzaghe. It's a fight that poses stylistic disadvantages for Toney and one he could very well lose.

More to the point, would Calzaghe last 12 rounds with Sam Peter twice? Bear in mind his fans have placed him above Toney in both chin and defence in another thread

    Toney UD

Calazghe ain't Roy Jones and Toney ain't Jeff Lacy.

Toney lasting the distance with Samuel Peter twice has absolutely nothing to do with breaking down a Toney/Calzaghe matchup.
