Others have posted that it most definately is relevent - unless of course you believe that Calzaghe can hit Toney harder than Peter did, with those *****-slaps of his :patsch Calzaghe could land flush shots all night and no way is Toney getting KO'd, NO WAY.

The Calzaghe threads are getting more and more ****ing ignorant by the day....give the man his dues and all that but they'll be picking him to KO McCall next, all on the strength of beating Kessler :nut

Well then you're not really a hugger if you don't see this is a matchup Calzaghe wins.

It's much closer than a matchup like Jones/Toney because of Joe's tendancy to brawl and stay in hitting range, but still, Joe's workrate and in and out speed should win him the decision over the stationary counter puncher.

I'm an ex-Calzaghe fan, which is the boxing equivalent of being an ex-smoker, makes me a super-hater

Liked him when he beat Eubank and thought he could become something special, then he spent 8 years ****ing irritating me with bull**** remarks about fighting decent fighters and fighting nothing but bums. You disagree with me on that, fair enough.

He's had a good 2 years, another 6 to go before I forgive the **** :deal

Well then, regardless of what he has accomplished in his career, you know how good he is capable of being at his best, even if he hasn't shown it enough. So if you're being objective, you should know that in a head to head sense a matchup with Toney is one very much worth discussing.

Yeah I can concede that point, and I know Toney has looked like **** a couple of times (being generous to him there) but at his best I think he was one of the best fighters I ever saw. Calzaghe looked fantastic against Lacy and Kessler I'll admit but as you say he's had his **** nights too. Toney at his best for me beat better fighters and looked very impressive doing it.

I'm more annoyed at the ignorant ******s predicting a Calzaghe KO than people suggesting Calzaghe could out-point the guy....I disagree with them but as you say it's a debate worth having, whereas you have to be an out and out ignorant **** to say Calzaghe would KO Toney.

Anyone that predicted this can feel free to argue with me on it.

Yeah, Toney's one of the few fighters in history I class as "Unstoppable" in a sense that I could never see him being finished in a fight, as long as he was in shape mind you.

I do hear what you're saying, but I just got to ask you one question.

If say what 5, 6 years ago Joe was handed a contract to fight Hopkins (or Toney for that matter) for an agreeable few million in the US or Britain... do you think he would sign it or not?
