toney has fought people that are way FASTER than JOE. In fact, i think calzaghe's speed is overrated.

    His speed is overrated...hehe

It just gets better and better on ESB. He can't jab, he slaps, his speed is overrated, he is a one dimensional inside fighter. **** knows why this man hasn't lost in nigh on two decades

    Flukey *******

Jones had great handspeed and footspeed when he fought Toney - Calzaghe has 'good but not great' handspeed and 'decent' footspeed. I don't believe he'd avoid Toneys bombs all night, not a bit of it. I think Toney would land, and often, and I think Calzaghes the kind of fighter Toney would enjoy fighting, there are gaps in the defence and Toney would find them.

Toney at his best was a thing of beauty to watch, just pure old school skills. My dad bores the **** out of me with tales of the old timers and how they fought compared to the "homos" that are fighting today....I showed him Toney V Jirov and Toney V Holy and he loved it. Probably irrelevent but it sure changed my dads opinion on modern fighters, especially when I followed it up with Toney V "that homo" Jones :D

No brainer, Toney by late KO. He would knock that clumsy son of a ***** down with clean counter right hands in the middle of his slapfest fury maybe twice. But JT knew how to finish those guys that just threw in high volume that were as easy to hit as Joe is.

He does slap...He admits it...His jab is ugly and akward but it is his best weapon to me as any southpaw. He can throw a pretty good hook-a-uppercut-a-slap-a-thing-a-ma-bob or whatever that is he throws. Its effective. He has good short slapping hooks with both hands. NONE are enough to get James Toneys respect. Joe likes to get on the inside and let his hands go. Toney would show him why he fights sub par fighters for a living and is not on his level.

What, mad? I said his slaps were effective.. And that he is not on the level of those fighters or he would of mixed it up with more then an retired Bozo the clown Eubank. ****ing Calzaghians. They have became far worst then PAC fans. Bitches.

This mother****ing James Toney would beat any version of Calzaghe. They make Calzaghe look like a ****ing slug sloth in the ring. When 168 was deep and talented. [yt]ZRYmgtvo2gI&rel=1[/yt]

You do realise when Joe refers to himself "slapping" he is joking?

e.g. "Not bad for a slapper"

    God, some people are thick

Well, anyway. He throws his punches side armed like how a girl does. So he is a slapping ***** and would get beat by James Toney prime for prime and most likely stopped. Look at the above action. You show me a calzaghe fight at 168 that fought at this kind of pace. JT is just plain better in every category and would just kick his ass. JT has a steel chin and did not get dropped though he was caught with a wicked right hand that he didnt see coming. I seen Calzaghe floored with the same shot.
