You state your opinions as though they are facts.

Some facts (and opinions) for you

    Joe beat

Bernard Hopkins (in light of what he did to Pavlik... not shot)
Roy (pretty shot, couldn't handle Joe's pace)
Eubank (not shot, what was he 31/32?)
    Kessler (prime)
Mitchel (not far removed from prime, ex world champion)
Brewer (not far removed from prime, ex world champion)

    +Lacy, Bika, Woodhall, Reid

    Joe's resume is average,

But he still has one more fight of course....

O.k Joe fans, name me one fighter on Joe CV who resembles a Prime Roy Jones Jr's

    1. Power
    2. Speed
    3. Fast foot work
    4. Ring smart/Control
    5. Hit and move defence

I know Joe got a iron chin but in my view, Roy's Speed+Power+Timing+Punch balance and Joe pissed off Roy in the fight build up, I only see a Brutal KO win for Roy inside 5 rounds, or a 12 round masterclass beatdown if Roy just wants to teach Joe a lesson in real boxing, no pitter padder **** high punch output ****.

Listen ********, no-one said it wasn't worse, but the fact that hundreds of clean head shots did not result in a KD is very obviously indicative of a lack of punching power. How you fail to work that out is staggering. It is clearly you who has never had boxing gloves on.

Because a shot to pieces Roy Jones is FAAAAAR better than Carl Froch will ever be and I'm not even joking. I would honestly pick Roy Jones to knock Froch out cold if they met anytime soon.

Calzaghe would send Froch out on a stretcher after 5 rounds at most if they fought. Whenever Taylor showed A BIT of activity Froch went defensive and on the verge of being KO'd. You think he will handle Calzaghe's insane activity, speed, stamina, power and punches from odd angles?

********? Wow, you're quite the lady, aren't you?

You've owned yourself, again. Being hit by hundreds of clean shots flush in the face that don't result in a KD for 12 full rounds hurts much more than being hit bit a big shot that puts your lights out. And that was the whole point - that Calzaghe would really hurt and damage Froch, more than a big hitter who would just KO him with a big shot would.

...wouldn't know that from watching classic boxing clips, though...

Exactly this. If you watch the fight again, you definitely see Calzaghe stop going for the head and go for the body more. The fight was won and respect came in...but only just since Joe was still clowning around whenever Roy tried for an attack.

As for Froch...less said the better. As a boxer, the guy is embarassing. Toughnest will only get him so far. The 15 minutes are counting down...

Calzaghe UD. I feel Calzaghe is looked down upon due to his resume more than his actual ability. He has the tools to outwork Froch over 12 quite easily.

Your level of ******ation is rather mind-blowing today.

Yes, being hit with hundreds of punches hurts more than one concussive shot. Jeff Lacy was in all likelihood in more pain after the Calzaghe defeat than Herol Graham was after his lights were put out by Julian Jackson.

But that has absolutely nothing to do with punching power, which is what I commented on, and was my post that you responded to.

Hitting someone cleanly hundreds of times and not knocking them down (never mind knocking them out!), someone who has been knocked out with single shots in the past, is indeed indicative of a lack of punching power.

Is it not?? How can you even try and argue against my characteristically bulletproof logic? :D

Calzaghe would expose Froch so badly.

It would be the true boxing definition of expose.

    1. he wouldn't have to "dent" froch to win but would simply need to pepper him with his "punches" that judges score as points; 2. Jones wasn't "shot to ****" (and i'm not a calzaghe fan), jones is past his best but is still competive with a lot of 168/175 ers
