I'm not a Calzaghe hater.I know he was an excellent fighter. But he would have had more credibility if he didn't lie about Jones. He himself said in his autobiography that he wouldn't fight an unworthy Jones and that Jones was shot and wasn't a credible opponent anymore due to his ko losses to Tarver and Johnson. Then a few years later, signed to fight Jones and insisted that Jones was still great. He now goes around saying that he beat a legend in Jones.Wrong.He beat a shell of a legend and he knows it because he himself said it.It's that simple.

Did you see the Johnson fight?

Johnson beat the **** out RJJ before brutally KOing him the 9th, and Johnson didn't get dropped either. That was four years before the Calzaghe fight.

As Clinton has pointed out, Calzaghe said himself that there was no point in fighting RJJ because RJJ was shot. What next - if Calzaghe said that Tocker Pudwill is an ATG would you believe that too?

This goes over to this thread ..
Calzaghe had 23 Kos in his first 25 fights. Forch only has 20 in 25 fights. So how can you claim Froch as a MONSTER puncher and not Calzaghe?
I just don't get how your brain isn't comprehending the fact that the
guy who you say is a "light handed slapper" had a higher KO percentage.

Hopkins should have DQ'd or counted out.
Least RJJ foguht the whole 12 rounds wanting to win. Froch vs Calzaghe would be Lacey all over. And like someone posted earlier. Froch would be ruint like Lacey was.

RJJ is an all-time favorite of mine and I have to admit that Calzaghe could have stopped him and easily if he wanted to but he carried him out of respect and it was VERY obvious even when Calzaghe denies it. Calzaghe was just dominating that fight despite being troubled in the first round.

All that aside, PLEASE don't mention not even the CORPSE of RJJ with Froch, even a shot to DEATH RJJ is LEAGUES above Froch. I would honestly and will full confidence bet on RJJ to destroy Froch if they meet soon. That shot to pieces version of RJJ is FAR more dangerous and better than Froch will ever be.

Froch was losing and one-sidedly to a Taylor that wasn't even throwing punches, not to forget knocked down and seriously hurt.

Just because Joe might not stop Froch has nothing to do with the fact that Joe would box his ears off.
