Very interesting thread. Tough question. I think he could fight Tarver or rematch Kessler if he lost to Roy. Although they're hardly guaranteed wins. Though I think he would beat Tarver comfortably. Finishing his career with 2 losses would severely damage his legacy. I guess a rematch Kessler would be the best option because he's already shown he can beat him. He would probably be better off retiring although I'm not sure his ego would let him go out on his only loss especially to Roy.

Yeah, for 30 seconds a round.

If that is enough to beat Calzaghe, he will have deteriorated hugely since even Hopkins and should retire anyway. He'll only get loss #2.

deffinatley the 02 areana , MEN manchester areana, Wembley it could easily sell out as a big domestic showdown but clinton should get a win under his belt first to make it abit more appealing

which is a reflection of the passion that UK fans have but, at the same time, it's why frank warren likes to protect his fighters.

he knows how lucrative these fights can be if he keeps them local and the momentum moving forward with wins, no matter how meaningless.

which is why he's not good for boxing.

Well, if he loses, that means he's lost some of his talent. Then he will want a winnable fight. Someone mentioned Clinton Woods. I think that would make a lot of sense both pride-wise and money wise.

He wouldn't want anything to do with guys like Pavlik, Dawson, Johnson, Tarver, etc.

    i dont agree.

calzaghe is all about ego - but carefully crafted ego.

i think he'd go for tarver or johnson.

woods would get carved up by calzaghe tbh and joe's not about to take a backward step in that direction.

calzaghe only takes on pavlik if hopkins spanks pavlik.

calzaghe wants to retire with his 0 intact and proclaim himself a legend of the sport....

Clearly you don't know a great deal about our sport. RJJ is to old to give a Boxing lesson to anybody who isn't as inactive as Trinidad over 12 rounds, let alone one of the hardest working fighters in the business. Joe wins on points or TKO.

Bhop would see the 12 round against Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, and Muhammad Ali all in their prime, in the same ring, at the same time. Bhop is that kind of fighter, so even if Pavlik manages to win on activity, he doesn't get a knockout. Stop dreaming. BHOP UD12.
