He is one of the greats already, beaten some excellent fighters who are greats themselves.

 

So, let's recap.

* I say one line to davidwatts, with a friendly tone. "He may in fact be heading towards being the all-time great. :good"

* Scurla sees that and, since he doesn't like me, he jumps in and tries to pretend that I've said something ridiculous.

* I try to talk some MMA by backing my stance up with a good argument showing how far ahead Jones is compared to where the current top 3 were at his age. I make no definitive statements that Jones WILL turn out to be the GOAT. Only that he could.

* Stoo jumps in and tries to mock me. He and scurla trade laughing emoticons with each other for a few posts. Neither of them so much as posts a single sentence to challenge the case I made. Both of them know damned well that my stance is very reasonable and shared by a great many in the MMA industry. But they'd rather act like bitchy little schoolgirls than talk MMA. Yeah, I'm the problem with this forum. atsch
