it's immaterial and won't hold much water to be honest. it might prolong the jones legend - which is already cemented.

but i'd say its a judgment on his opposition at this stage.

honestly...why does anyone think jones beating joe and peter past his prime says anything?

i'll be surprised if it happens anyway bigtime. but i think it's naaive to give it props anyway.

    That doesn't make sense.

Either you think "it is only to be expected by a star such as RJJ" and thus you give little credit if he does it.

    OR,

You think "no way Roy can beat both of these at this time. I would be choked if it happened" and thus you give Roy a lot of credit if it actually happened.

honestly if he did that considering how old and shot he is i think he'd be top 5 or probably have a case to be the best.

Top 10 without any doubts, man I'll be the happiest person on EARTH if that happens, even happier than Jones.

how about roy is past his prime and neither of these fighters, although they are names in their divisions, have ever beaten a world class fighter in their prime?

Pretty freaking high on everyone's list. P4P #2, then #2 ranked HW. That's tough.... But I HIGHLY doubt that happens.
