exactly, hopkins called joe out after his fight with winky and now joe is chasing old man popkins and determined to make him eat his words, ala mayweather-hatton.

I agree, Calzaghe is all wrong for Jones at this point in his career. I couldn't see this fight going past three rounds.

Jones still has it to beat Joe.

Never count out a great even one as faded as Jones

I don't know man, Jones lays on the ropes way too much when he fights now and that would give Calzaghe more than enough of a chance to take him out.

Nah.... Calzaghe would win now, wouldn't be much of a contest imo really. But right now ill say this:

If Roy Jones happens to beat Tito, and Dariusz Michalczewski happens to beat Rocky, why not let the 2 old great has-beens try to set up this fight? Iv'e always wanted DM v Roy. And It could be a possibility maybe.

I'm sure whoever wins Jones-Trinaddad is going to get a big fight Calzaghe or someone else.

The winner of Jones/Trinidad certainly will be looking for a big fight and will get it, as gullible fans give too much credit to the winner. Let's just hope HBO has too much sense to bankroll a fight against Calzaghe.

I'd be fine with Hopkins fighting the winner -- let those guys claim supremacy of the senior circuit. Meanwhile, let's see Calzaghe against a more viable opponent such as Woods or (less realistically) Dawson.

Quite the opposite IMO. I think they know exactly who he is and see him as high risk low reward.

I will say this: I don;t think RJJ will beat Tito easily nor convincingly IF he beat him it will be a close fight...I said this Tito will be dangeous wih both hands...RJJ is not Winky

Judging Jones' last performance, he may be able to match Joe's handspeed. He is probably a harder puncher as well. He just didn't have any legs underneath him, still goes to the ropes, and can't match Joe's output.

I've been wrong about Jones' legs before. I thought they were shot before his 3rd fight with Tarver. They weren't. His confidence was. Physically, he was still better than most anybody.

If Jones' can't match Calzaghe's punch output, he has to land the harder punches and use his legs to avoid him. I don't think he can fight that type of fight anymore. I believe Joe is too much for Roy at this stage, and would probably stop him a few rounds earlier than Johnson did.

that would speak more about tito's shotness, than rjj current ability. Bika could probably chew him up and spit him out at this point.

This would be bad for Joe...taking on RJJ or Hopkins gives the haters a big target regarding age

Maybe he was just in a rut and really does have his strength back. Unfortunately still wont do a whole lot for legacy though until RJJ beats somebody at the top again. Hmm Erdei claims to have offered him a chance.
